    1. I highly recommend this book, it has magic, fantasy elements, and lots of adventure. It was an entertaining tale centering on Nina and her brother Jake as they adapt to living in Owenroakes Children's home after their parents disappear. But Owenroakes holds more than just a few secrets and the children quickly fall into trouble. This is a book that is great for both children and adults. You quickly become invested in the story, I was not able to put this story down until I finished it. The book [...]


    2. My children truly enjoyed reading this book. Even better, I enjoyed this book just as much! The story line is great and the characters are well rounded and very interesting. With a lot of books my children sometimes find spots that they begin to get bored with and will set the book down and never pick it up again, but not with this book. It was a very easy read for them and we are all anxiously awaiting a sequel. Love this author and love this book, highly, highly, recommend!



    3. I have nine grandchildren with the oldest, a boy, nearly 13 years old. He reads at four grades ahead of his class. I attribute that, at least in part, because I took the time to involve him and brothers and sisters and cousins in the wonderful world of reading stories since they were babies.
