    1. This isn't a lovey dovey romance story for sure, the vampires are simple predators and murderers. And even if you're engage to be married to a woman you better be prepare have sex with a gay vampire if you want to live, not even the sex scenes kept me interested, those were tedious and dull.

    2. I personsally just finished this book last night, and frankly I can't get enough of it, I didn't quite like the ending, honestly it caught me off guard. But I was intrigued with Larimie and Callum's relationship How Larimie was so brave and challenging when it came to his life possibly being in danger What a magnificent and disgusting person Callum was,but still such a dark sexy character I loved this book, it was well written and I had great difficulty putting it down. Even Jonathon was such a v [...]

    3. Callum Of The Drakkar Coven by Leigh Jarret (MM/Para/Romance?)A copy of this book was provided to me by Inked Rainbow Reads in exchange for an honest review.*** 3 STARS***Oh man, I really wish I never agreed to read this book. It really wasn't my cup of tea. It should have come with a bigger warning label than "these vampires do not sparkle". Seriously, it was so disturbing. I'm giving the author props for going there and putting a lot of gore and darkness in the story, but I had to force myself [...]

    4. ARC received from author via Indigo Marketing And Design in exchange for an honest review. This is a very different take on the usual romantic, vampire story. It portrays them in the way that we expect ‘real’ vampires to behave, living as blood thirsty, lethal killers who view humans as prey. Despite being monsters, these guys can be capable of normal human emotions, they form attachments and fall in love. What makes this different, is the way that vampires of such standing were easily manipu [...]

    5. This is an unusual vampire story that doesn't flinch from portraying vampires as bloodthirsty monsters yet still managed to make me feel sympathetic towards the main character. I am going to have to look for more Drakker Coven books to find out what happens next and if the nasty vampire gets his come-uppence.

    6. Callum of Drakkar Coven was provided by the author Leigh Jarrett via IndiGo Marketing & Design in exchange for an honest review. Callum is in the original tradition of vampires who need human blood and death for survival. He is not a sparkly creature at all, for which I am thankful. Yes, there is violence and gore, but none of it is gratuitous. Rather, Callum is a complex character that Laramie and the reader come to appreciate over time. He takes his role of guardian over his lands and food [...]

    7. 3 HeartsReview written for MM Good Book ReviewsWhat happens when your simple life gets disrupted so profoundly you can’t make up from down? What happens when instead of marrying to your betrothed and have a bunch of kids, you end up a pleasure slave for the Lord of the land you live upon? What the Hell happens when said land Lord is a powerful, sadistic, and cruel Vampire who in all rights thinks you’re his livestock?Well, this story certainly has a horror touch to it with the play of emotio [...]

    8. The story starts with teenagers in love and almost married and a fateful night that tore them apart. discovering that his fiance was captured by the lord's riders, Laramie and his two childhood friends follow the riders to the lord's castle (view spoiler)[and "volunteer" to be captives and unexpectedly end up in a male harem. after catching Lord Callum attention Laramie soon became his new "plaything" and decided that it was better to focus to survive than escape for now. when Daniel one of Lara [...]

    9. This was an entirely different take on m/m vampires than I've ever read and it was very good. I liked the take on the harems but separate for feeding and companionship. I was shocked at who Oleander picked at the end, wasn't expecting that, but I'd like to read more about him. I'm also glad that all worked out for Callum, Jonathan, and Laramie.

    10. 2.5 starsToo much focus on checking off all the erotica boxes and not enough on a broader story. It actually had some good bones, but I wished for "more".

    11. Review written for Love Bytes Reviews.Let me start out by saying that this probably isn’t the type of vampire story you’re used to reading. There is no tender love story, talk of mates or *sparkles* but what it lacks in the way of ‘the norm’ it makes up for in characters and a unique story I found myself intrigued by, almost against my will. For the people living at the base of the mountain, stories have been told of the castle’s inhabitants and much speculation has been given as to wh [...]

    12. So this one was a bit different than I expected. Normally, we romanticize vampires. We like to think they're not monsters but just misunderstood mutations of humans. Well, Callum is not that. He is indeed a bloodthirsty monster with seemingly no conscience and one would think no redeeming qualities. In fact, his one redeeming quality is his attraction to Laramie, though he does hurt Laramie as well. It's unintentional, as vampires have no concept of sickness or disease that apparently repeated b [...]

    13. 2.5 starsNot really sure how to rate this one. I usually like dark and twisted but I found I didn't like Lamarie.I kind of expected to feel for Lamarie, but he just forgot about everyone barr himself early on. I liked that the vampires were hard and cruel and not softened in anyway but the relationship between Callum and Lamarie felt a bit stockholmy.

    14. Although not completely realistic in the behaviour of the characters at all times, it was an enjoyable read and written very well.

    15. Somehow confusing and disturbing. I'am not new to gore and blood but in here it is just too much. I finished it so 2 out of 5.
