    1. Far too simplistic a treatment of what could be an interesting process of viewing Lent as a time for changing oneself. We could have picked a better book.

    2. I really liked this twist on Lenten sacrifice. Instead of denying tangible objects, the author focused on thoughts and habits - envy, self-pity, apathy, gossip, negative thinking, etc. What a better place this world would be if we would lay these down forever.

    3. Very easy read. The premise of this book is great--the idea of giving up bad or limiting behaviors for Lent and then giving them up permanently. But it seemed to be written very simplistically; not much meat here. It would be pretty good for a Sunday school Lenten study.

    4. Great study. Give up a bad habit or a bad attitude instead of beer, candy or chocolate and become a changed person come Easter Sunday. Includes reflection questions and prayers.

    5. This was an excellent book to read. I enjoyed reading and discussing it with my Sunday school class.

    6. Great concept. Would/will be a great adult Sunday school study. Easy to read, very interesting, and each chapter can stand alone (if need be).

    7. Some practical application of biblical truthLots of anecdotal wisdom for a child of God to embrace in this book. Easy to read and follow and encouraging for those who want a closer relationship with God and others.
