    2. By the end of the first few chapters I found myself wondering how in the world this novel could possibly end well for those involved without taking a serious nosedive story wise. With all of the twists and turns Salazar managed to surprise me, ending with everything as right as could be hoped for, while still leaving the story open for a sequel.     3. First and foremost I feel that I have to warn anyone thinking of reading this book that it is imperative that they read 'Darkness and Lies' Book 1 of the series first. This book is a continuation of the first and as I discovered you are totally lost if you try to read this one first. I'm finding it impossible to review just this one book therefore I'm not even going to try.
