    1. I received this book free through First Reads. This was a really great book, one which I couldn't put down once I started reading. I always love reading fantasy books by authors I was previously unfamiliar with, and this one did not disappoint. I feel the need to read the first book in the series because I need to know more. The biggest praise I can give, however, is that I passed the book along to my 13 year old son. He is currently half-way through it, and only put it down to sleep after much [...]


    2. Bound by Blood by E. H. Kindred is a exceptionally written book. It's one of those stories that draws you into her world. Many times in the reading the story is played out in images in my mind and I cannot even recall reading the passages. Her characters are unique to her world yet so well discribed I could picture them as well as my own friends. I was impressed with her first book, "The Immortal" and this second in the series builds on that world in ways that are fresh and totally different tha [...]
