    2. A lively and intelligent children's book that doesn't dumb it down. This was a delight to read. It made me wish I had little ones with whom to share this treat. I won this from the First Reads Program and very pleased with it. It's cute, but doesn't pander to the school of thought that says children can't enjoy smart, challenging literature. This book would be a charming addition to any home, classroom, library, reading circle, and would make an superb gift.
