    1. Oh wow I am truelly left speechless. I have enjoyed this book so much The emotions I experience throughout this book was crazy. I love how Emily and Cooper got together The fact that they were so madly in love. When Cooper took the pot and she stormed off not thinking of anything else but his betrayal I have to say was quite epic, but the fact that she gave him an ultimatum made it so much better. And Cooper went and screwed that up, by doing the same mistake again only now Em was pregnant with [...]

    2. I love the cover the story and the girl is irritating as hell. I'm just glad I finished reading it.

    3. Trying To Get Over You by J.D. Rivera5 Stars- “Trying To Get Over You” is a feel-good-all-over read!Emily Reynolds and Cooper Thomason are two college kids in love. They share an apartment while both attend school. Cooper is all set to graduate with a promising career as soon as he finishes school. Emily is working on her degree with high hopes of having a family with Cooper someday. The book begins with a very immature, young relationship, something that many of us go through. Trials and tr [...]

    4. I read the original version of this book and liked it a lot, but after reading the updated version all I can say is that I did not know what I was missing. Emily is trying to move on from Cooper by dating Ben but little does the other know that they are using each other. Cooper on the other hand never waivers about how he feels about Emily. In the first version you feel bad for Ben now he is just a ass. I love that the ending is still the same.

    5. Main characters: Cooper and EmilyCooper and Emily, in love- college students. After years of being together, Cooper had a adolescent pot problem. Nothing of an addiction, but a personal dislike of Emily. Cooper was the idea boyfriend ~DREAMY,SEXY,SMART,CARING,THE WHOLE DAMN PACKAGE~ but, The beginning of the story starts off with this ULTIMATIUM."I know I told you I wouldn't smoke pot again, I'm sorry I messed up."Cooper chooses Emily vs his recreational habit. That was the plan at least, un [...]

    6. HOW MANY TIMES CAN SOMEONE MAKE A MISTAKE BEFORE YOU WALK AWAY OR IS WALKING AWAY THE BIGGEST MISTAKE? Trying to Get Over You is a love story about two college students, Emily Reynolds and Cooper Thomason, whom are in love. They have been in a relationship for the past three years living together while both attending college. Cooper is graduating from college before Emily and has a fantastic job lined-up after he graduates. Emily is also looking forward to finishing college, because she sees her [...]

    7. There were some really good things about this book and then there were some annoying things. I absolutely LOVE Cooper. I mean if you could have an almost perfect guy he would be it. He obviously loves Emily but does make some mistakes. He tries to do the best that he can and he tells her constantly that he loves her. There are some times that he should show her but doesn't and well that is typical. I really wanted to just slap Emily through most of the book. I understand being 20 and in college [...]

    8. 'Trying to Get Over You' is a journey of a couple College student Emily Reynolds and Cooper Thomason. They had been dating for three years and Emily got tired of Cooper's pot habit. She told him that it was either the drugs or her. Things were going well until one day, that day totally changed Emily's life forever: she found out she was pregnant. She came home to tell Cooper the news, only to find him smoking it up with a Jason, a guy Emily doesn't like and two blonde chicks hanging all over Coo [...]

    9. When I started reading the book, I was like oh no. I hope it's not this slow throughout the book. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't!After the prologue and first chapter, the story picks up and we get going. Emily and Cooper have a lot going on. Which leads to Emily leaving CooperAt first, I thought Emily was really immature for doing what she did. But put yourself in her shoes. Do you want to always have to worry if you're going to come home to someone strung out? Maybe it would be bette [...]

    10. Cover Reveal!College student Emily Reynolds has been in a three year relationship with Cooper Thomason but one awful night has left their relationship shaken. She soon finds out she is pregnant and Cooper can’t give up his partying ways. Emily leaves Cooper and tries to find a life without him. She finds out a life without Cooper is harder than she thinks. Will Emily be able to move on from Cooper and find a relationship with another man or run back to him?

    11. This book is a great summer read. It’s light and full of love and romance. Who hasn’t had a love that they can’t get over?I found myself falling in love with Emily and Cooper. I was rooting for them the whole way. I can’t imagine all the emotions that were running through Emily at the time.I found myself drawn to this story because it mirrors my current love life. Thankfully I’m not pregnant though! I am just having a very difficult time moving on from an ex. Sometimes a character or c [...]

    12. Trying To Get Over You is now on my list of favorite books. I loved that Emily is against drugs just like me and decided to leave Cooper because she thought that would be the best for their baby. I thought it was wrong for her to use someone else to try to get over Cooper but nobody is perfect and everybody makes mistakes. Even with all their problems Emily and Cooper seemed to have a great relationship. I could really understand what Emily was going through and that made me love the story even [...]

    13. Loved itEmily is with Cooper and then on the day she finds out she pregnant she breaks up with him when he does what she has asked him not to do

    14. Reviewed for Confessions From RomaholicsThis is one of those books that will have people divided over it because of its heroine and the way the story ended. I’m not say how the book ends but for some it may seem ‘What the hell just happened?’ But that being said, it does fit in considering what the heroine and hero are like together and apart because one has it together and the other is train wreck. And it’s not who you expect who is the train wreck!Emily is a junior in college and appea [...]

    15. Trying to Get Over You was my first read by J.D Rivera and I have to say I really enjoyed reading it. This book has given me another book boyfriend named Cooper Thomason, because the guy was just amazing, sweet, sexy, dayum I'm just gonna say the whole alpha male package lol, whilst still holding his appeal even as he redeemed himself. The romance between Emily and Cooper was so sweet and romantic that I instantly loved the pairing. Emily and Cooper's relationship was perfect and full of bliss. [...]

    16. HORRIBLE "heroine". Emily will drive you crazy while Cooper will make you wish you had a guy like him. Seriously though, the h ruined this book for me. She is completely selfish. Plot:Cooper and Emily have been dating for like 3 years. Cooper like to smoke pot. Emily gives him an ultimatum to never smoke pot again, or she will leave him for good. Well, after about a month, Cooper ends up smoking and Emily walks in right as he is doing it. On top of that, she has just left the doctors office wher [...]

    17. Trying To Get Over You is an incredible and emotional read all wrapped up into one. I could not put this book down because I had to see what was going to happen to this couple. I mean college is hard enough as it is but add to the mix a relationship and then a pregnancy that is enough to stress anyone out. Emily and Cooper have been together for three years. They have been going strong and Cooper loves Emily like no one's business. As they are together at school Emily starts to worry about Coope [...]

    18. I was very excited to read this book. The synopsis had me very interested. So, I start reading it and I fall in love with Cooper. I just clicked with him from the get go! #TEAMCOOPER I can understand that emotions were high (no pun intended lol) and Emily made a choice that could have easily been handled with a compromise. This choice sent us on a journey that were not easy to handle. In making these choices, I wanted to throat punch Emily in some parts of the book. I can understand her reasonin [...]

    19. I really enjoyed this book, and I found it to be refreshing. This is JD Rivera's debut novel, and I read it with that in mind. It exceeded my expectations, and I think she has a real talent as an author. I'll be reading her next works.Without giving away major plot points, I will say that I found Cooper and Emily's relationship to be pretty realistic of the types of relationships people have while in college in their early 20s. People overreact, they jump to conclusions, they make decisions and [...]

    20. I was expecting more from this book. I almost immediately felt off kilter when I started reading because it felt like some information was missing. The basic concept of the story is great, however everything felt too perfect and there were a few details that made no sense at all. I liked Emily Reynold's resolve. She was firm and non negotiable about Cooper. I also thought her parental reaction to the whole situation was a little mild. I know everyone's parents are different, but it was hard for [...]

    21. I didn't feel anything, I completely blanked. Normally the emotion is there or it's not and this writer really didn't give me any from the characters at all, other than irritation. In fact I wanted to smack the hero and heroine but mostly the chick for being so stupid. /facepalm.

    22. Surprisingly I enjoyed this book, some of the chapters are a bit unrealistic and far fetches but hey it's a story and it has a lovely ending. I also like how it ends with a nice clear epilogue rather than a cliff hanger! Worth the read

    23. Cutest book ever!!!! yes I was super stressed out while reading this book. I have to say that I am totally digging Cooper! I did t want this story to end. It was so good!

    24. Great quick read!!! Had me from beginning to end!! Loved the storyline and the characters. I look forward to reading more books in this series!!!

    25. I like the book but I found frustrating how half of it was spent with the female character acting like an immature brat. ugh. Loved Cooper tough! :D <3

    26. This is a believable story with characters you can relate to. A compelling read that is hard to put down. Looking forward to more from this author.

    27. Most of the time I was sad for Cooper and wasn't sure what Emily was doingBenwas an assloved the ending!!!

    28. ****3.5****This is another book I was super excited to read. When I got my e-arc copy for the blog tour I started reading it that same day. The beginning caught my interest right away but after a few pages it all went down hill for me.I am going to keep this review short and simple. When I read a book I like to develop a connection towards the characters. If I can't connect with the character, or if they just get on my nerves throughout the story, then I will not be able to really get into the s [...]
