    1. You should not even read this review if you have not read 'Murder on the Titania.' It is impossible to avoid spoiling that novella. That is your warning. This was an incredibly fun story to read. It was immediately engaging, from the very first page. It opens with a vivid description of an elderly woman's parlor, spoiled by the mangled dead body lying on the carpet. Captain Marta Ramos and her colleague, Simms, come upon the grisly scene and decide to get to the bottom of what happened. Captain R [...]

    2. Although written out of chronological sequence, any momentary confusion is more than compensated for with the proper introduction of Deliah Nimowitz. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of her! 3. So it turns out I really like Captain Marta Ramos and Simms and their steampunky, mystery-solving ways. And I really liked this in particular for the dog, the niece, and Captain Ramos' attraction to her.

    4. Ramos and Simms are fantastic. There is a great sense of humor here, but also a sense of more serious things building, and a terribly cute dog named Chippy. Would love to see an omnibus edition of all these stories, yes.
