    1. I love when you think a book can’t get any better and somehow something happens and you realized you were so wrong… That sentence could sum up my feeling about Torn. Book two in The Caregiver series is an excellent tale of spies, secret agencies, action and love. The story picks up right after the ending of book one. There are no blanks between them so you should read the previous installment in order to fully enjoy the story. From that point we submerge in a dark, dangerous and very intrigui [...]

    2. I first read this book last fall - the unedited rough draft version - and I've been waiting to add it here ever since. I wasn't sure where these characters might go after the first book, only that they were such rich characters with so much more story to tell. So many options and Astrid took them to places I never would've expected. The book is an exciting continuation to the first book, a quick read full of twists and turns and stabbing and shooting and action and every time you think you've lea [...]

    3. Oh my. Just when you thought it couldn't get better, you get book two. This picks up where book one ends, so reading book one is a must (but in no way a hardship). The background of Scarlett's past, which I had felt was lacking in book one, was covered here. You can't help but feel for her. She had an abusive ex-husband, and her grandfather wasn't much better. The people who were supposed to care about her didn't. We get to see a slight turn-around in both the men but it's too little too late.Th [...]

    4. she did again!!the reason it took me so long to finish read this book is due to outside forces that feeds me cake, but that is not the point, Scarlett chacharater has now turn into Scarlett who has cahones.ry good character developmentsand was nice to read a bit spanish phrases. The story keeps you on edge, there is also a twist but of course my lips are sealed read the book for yourself goodamitis book ended with a cliffhanger and I never saw it coming . jaws are still open .good writting skill [...]

    5. Thanks Librarything for a free book to read and review.Torn is a very good title for this book, because I'm torn in how to describe it. Hence my three star rating. The characters were wonderfully imaginative and interesting which gave way to a good plot. The plot however ran off into ten different directions and just became complicated. So many people are after Scarlett at this point and no one is who they seem. Bad guys turned good, and good guys turned bad. just run amok.

    6. I received this book through a librarything giveaway in exchange for an honest review. I wondered as I read this book if it would have been better to read the first book in the series…first. The book does stand alone but I felt perhaps knowing why Armand and Scarlett were together might have helped. Scarlett was a complicated woman and as the story unfolded it became evident why she might have become so. I have read other books dealing with drugs, cartels, government agencies, torture, good an [...]

    7. I received this book by the author, in exchange for an honest review. Torn picks up immediately from where Book One left off, so I strongly recommending reading this series in order. We learn more about Scarlett's past, which explains many of her motivations. The love story continues, but definitely with a darker edge. The plot was well paced and the characters were brought to life by the author's hand. The biggest problem that I had with this book was the seemingly lack of concern for their per [...]
