    1. Wrapped in Red is an anthology that includes not one or two great stories, but all thirteen stories in this collection are strong and well written. These vampires are old school, without a bit of sparkling in sight, for which I was truly grateful. From authors I love (i.e Billie Sue Mosiman, Patrick Green, Suzi M and Chantal Noordeloos) to authors I've never read before, I enjoyed every story in this book. Just plain good old fashioned horror, well written, well edited and worth a read. When I w [...]

    2. A really good collection of vampire related stories. The editor has done some superb sifting to come out with these beauties and the order is glorious, the shift in emotions from start to finish and the flow is brilliant. Some wonderful new authors for me to seek out.Daddy used to drink too much by Michael G. Williams: A tale so full of woe I was left a little bereft and the end. Lots of blood and some fangs, but also tons of emotion. Such a sad way to start the book. The way MGW described the w [...]

    3. I love reading about vampires, and this has it all. It covers conventional to the unconventional to the what the heck just happened there?!?13 Tales in all, some obviously stand above the others but overall this is a very well done collection. Some of my personal favorites:Daddy Used to Drink too Much by Michael G Williams - Completely sad and heart breaking but oh so good at the same time. This was a great way to open the book. We have a vicious vampire, a weak willed and very flawed but loving [...]

    4. Over the years, I've learned that stories about vampires come in all shapes and sizes. Some are scary. Some are romantic. And some are even funny. Wrapped In Red is some of everything. This eclectic collection of vampiric short stories takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride, full of spiraling terror, screeching laughter and plummeting sorrow. And lots and lots of stomach-churning ugh! Each of these thirteen tales have their own coppery flavor, velvety premise and grisly set of characters. Jus [...]

    5. I have always been a fan of vampire stories. The Vampire Lestat is one of my favorite books ever. And I know you will judge me, but I devoured the Twilight series in two weeks. Doesn’t mean I liked it, but I read it. So I was super excited when the publisher offered me an advanced copy of this anthology. Vampire short stories? Yes, please!Though no story was terrible, some were better than others, as with any collection of short stories. There were three that stood out for me. “Nightbound” [...]

    6. Not the expected collection of Ho-Hum Bloodsucker Tales!Every horror junkie needs a good anthology around. The right collection of stories to be devoured in a sitting keeps the fan engaged, thoughtful, in suspense, or full of adrenaline for as long as the reader draws it out. Wrapped In Red is that collection. Smart, stimulating and wide-ranging, it’s not another group of ho-hum bloodsucker tales. Thirteen different writing styles bring as many varieties of the undead to life. Besides having a [...]

    7. This is a good little collection of vampire tales. I can easily envision it as it as a weekly half-hour horror show à la Night Gallery only hosted by Vincent Price instead of Rod Serling. Three stories are of special note. Suzi M.'s "Blood in the Water" is a rich new take on vintage Western myth and literary culture. I'd love to see this writer produce more work with the character of Lilith. I was also entertained by "My Boss is a Vampire" by David Matula, which was easily the most amusing of t [...]

    8. I enjoyed thisa collection of tales, each looking at the vampire from a different perspectived not a single sparkle between the covers. Win!

    9. Being a fan of a few of the authors, Patrick C. Greene, Mark Parker and Bryan Alaspa I knew I had nothing to lose by buying this anthology containing thirteen vampire stories and with luck I would like some of the other stories too. Well…I can say that I was not disappointed by ANY of the stories and have now found ten new authors to follow! The stories contained in this book are so very good and so engrossing that I hated it when I came to the last page. Each author brings his own flavor to e [...]
