    1. Lonna Marconi was the friend I liked until she stormed out on her friend in the book 1. To be fair, she had gone through a pretty traumatic experience and her friend, Joanie who was the book one heroine, was having her own crisis, so communication between them was somewhat problematic.Lonna is back and front and center in Long Shadows. Lonna is a social worker with a private investigators license. In this book, Lonna will be using her investigative abilities once again. This time, she is the tar [...]

    2. Long Shadows is the second book in Cecilia Dominic's Lycanthropy Files series, and although it can be enjoyed on its own, I think it will make more sense and be more fun if you start with the first book, The Mountain's Shadow (Lycanthropy Files Book 1). The main characters are different in this book, but Lonna was featured in the first book, and several other characters from the first book appear in this book as well. Events from the first book are also referenced. This book is probably going to [...]

    3. This book is the second in the Lycanthropy Files series, and I was lucky enough to get a copy. In this installment, there is a change of protagonist: Lonna is now at the forefront. Some time has passed since she has been turned into a werewolf, and just as things seem to be going back to normal, Lonna hears a conversation where she realizes she is being hunted. Shortly after fleeing her work and life, she finds out her family has been keeping secrets, secrets that will help her, and secrets that [...]

    4. I really enjoyed reading this book. This story combines elements of both lycanthropy and eventual magical elements to make it a wonderfully cultured read. There are many surprises throughout this novel that makes it a real page turner until the very last page. If you enjoy stories about werewolves and similar paranormal creatures, I'd advise you to give this book a try. This book is actually the second in a series, but can still be read as a standalone for the most part since it focuses on a new [...]

    5. Once again, Cecilia Dominic has managed to captivate and enthral readers. As with the first book, I couldn't put this one down. There are so many twists and surprises up to the end of the book, I had to keep reading to find out what would happen next. Dominic does such an amazing job of describing sights, sounds and smells, I felt as if I was right there with the characters. I recieved a copy of this book for my honest review.

    6. Lonna Marconi never wanted to become a werewolf, but now that it’s been done she is trying to concentrate on her busy career as a social worker. Lonna tries her best to ignore her new inner self, wolf-Lonna, but some facts can’t be totally ignored. To say that Lonna didn’t handle being turned against her will, isn’t even close to her feelings but she does feel bad about the break up that happened with her best friend. Recently Lonna has felt like someone is following her and after overhe [...]

    7. I love the first line in Cecilia Dominic’s Long Shadows. “People say I’m beautiful, but they don’t see the monster inside.” It gives the book a fairy tale feel…Beauty and Beast, except the Beast is the heroine instead of the hero. I’m all about fairy tales, so this totally hooked me on this story, which features social worker Lonna Marconi. She appeared in the first book as well and was far from happy at her new werewolf status. The story has great lines throughout. Another of my f [...]

    8. Lonna Marconi was turned into a werewolf against her will, and when she's not distracted from this fact by her career by day, her inner wolf is out to play by night. One day, that monotony takes a turn as she changes from the hunter to hunted, and Long Shadows follows her journey, from traversing metaphysical borders through doses of romance. And, look, it's another instance of hopping in beyond the first edition of a book - for shame! But, credit where it's due - the second installment works wel [...]

    9. Wizards and werewolves and blood magic . . . oh my!The second book in Cecilia Dominic’s Lycanthropy Files series has even more action and suspense as Lonna Marconi navigates a new life while struggling to accept her werewolf nature. As if that wasn’t enough, she discovers another strange secret about her biology and finds herself in the middle of an ancient feud between wizards and wolves. Two old loves (one a ghost!) vie for her trust but a new man with magical powers captivates her interest [...]

    10. This is the second book in The Lycanthropy Files, and it's wonderful. After finishing the first book, I immediately had to start this one.I love Lonna - she's sarcastic and witty and she doesn't put up with any crap. The relationship between Lonna and Max is rife with sexual tension and distrust which makes for a very interesting dynamic. Max, a hot doctor wizard, is sent to watch out for Lonna, but he won't tell her why or by whom. Lonna has to figure out if she can trust him while fighting a c [...]

    11. I went back and gave The Mountain's Shadow, the first novel by Cecilia Dominic, a four star rating after comparing it to several works of much the the same ilk written by two (highly lauded and many times awarded) American literary giants. Now, I'm giving Long Shadows four stars as well. I enjoyed it even more than the first one!

    12. In the story you'll find amazing, impressive and engaging characters, thrilling and picturesque scene descriptions, heat and lots of action. plot moves at a good pace and the over all story is well written. I recommend this book to all who love the paranormal.*** Gifted ARC copy ****L

    13. A satisfying paranormal with just the right mix of supernatural, romance and fast-paced action scenes. What takes this book above the average is the quality writing and always engaging voice.
