I was born a midwest girl in Youngstown Ohio and wrote my first short story at the age of ten in blue colored pencil It was a mystery called The Mystery of the Missing Marble For most of my life, my writing was private, for my own enjoyment and therapy In 2010, I discovered NANOWRIMO and I challenged myself to write a 50K novel in 30 days I finished it, but it was awful After joining an online writer s group through Writer s Village University, I picked away at my story for a full year with the help of the other girls in my group from all over the globe It took me another year of edits and rewrites when I joined a local writer s group before I felt it was ready for the public eye ACCIDENT is my first novel and is the reincarnated version of the original Accident through NANOWRIMO It is now available as both a print copy or ebook through My second publication, a novella, Town Without Mercy is a mother s struggle to find out why her daughter opened fire on a crowd of people during a 4th of July celebration Written through the eyes of the parent, it is all of our worst nightmares Was it nature or nurture that turned her daughter into a killer To coin a phrase from Jodi Picoult, my writing idol, my stories are moral fiction, not because I plan to change anyone s mind on a subject but because I hope to cause you to think about modern day issues that most people would prefer to shove under the rug I currently reside on Marco Island on the SW Gulf coast of Florida with my husband Proudly the parents of 8 his and hers kids and 9 grandkids, we spend out time boating and enjoying the white sandy beach of Marco when I am not writing or selling real estate.

    1. Everytime a mass shooting happens I think we all wonder what it would be like to be the parents of the shooter. Well this book is basically told from the Parents point of view. The story is based on a 16 year old girl who opens fire at a fireworks display in town. The two mothers can't come to terms with this. They don't understand why their daughter would do something like this. While the daughter lays in a coma they try to bring together pieces so that they can have answers.Along the way the to [...]

    2. Won this book on . Thank you for allowing me to read and review this book. The day I received this book, I opened it to just read two pages, I read the entire first chapter and did not want to put it down. During the day, I would read a few more chapters and I finished the book at 2 in the morning. As I closed the book, I said WOW!!!!!!! Excellent book, very well written. Great story and great surprises. Loved the book and am going to recommend to others.

    3. I actually really liked this book. The story revolved around the parents trying to figure out why their daughter would shoot up the town at a fourth of July show. I cried my eyes out when the town turned on the two moms and blamed them for their daughter shooting everyone up because she had gay parents. This was a really touching and at times really sad story.

    4. I think Town Without Mercy is a very well written book. There is a mass murder by a sixteen year old Mercedes Warren who is the child of same-sex partners. The town goes crazy with the notion that the killings were the result of the parents.

    5. To start, I won this book through a giveaway a while ago. I really did try to read it, and I thought the book was taking an interesting perspective on mass shootings. I enjoyed learning about the family and the ways in which they struggled coming to terms with what their daughter did. I feel like this book was getting ready to explore the ways that mass shootings ruin not only the lives of those directly involved, but can also destroy relationships and trust radiating out into those not directly [...]

    6. * Disclaimer- I won this through the Giveway program*How would we as parents react if our daughter was a mass murderer? Interesting premise but unfortunately the story falls short. This is because the author did not flush out who the characters were, why we needed to care about them and present the story in which the horror of the shooting took center stage for the parents. While the characters were pained it didn't feel realistic because the depth of that pain did not go down into their very s [...]

    7. This was an emotional mystery and one that had me glued to the pages. You can't help but feel for both moms when they find out their daughter is the shooter, nor can you fault either of their actions afterwards as it seems to fit with their personality. It gets even more intense when the police officer who shot Mercy arrrives. There are quite a few twist to make this a fast read and one that makes you question yourself.

    8. I won a free copy from the First Reads Giveaway Program and think that it interesting. I would recommend it to everyone.
