    1. Summary: There is a man who has 10 children. Every day, he has to dress, feed, and transport his kids. He is very tired, but stays up late every night working on his special boat. When his boat is finished, the father sets off for a journey at sea. He misses his children, however, and returns home. Together, the whole family sets out for an adventure at sea.Uses: read aloud in grades K-4th; independent reading for early or late-early readers; recommend to students who have a large family or chil [...]

    2. The Father Who Had 10 Children was a weird book. The illustrations in the book were very bland often having a solid white or blue background taking up most of the page. The people weren't very detailed, but this didn't make the book hard to understand because the text said it all. The story was about a father who cared for his 10 children. It went through his morning ritual and how he made meals and dressed all of them. I found it a little strange that near the end of the story the father decide [...]

    3. I have so much fun sharing this generously sized picture book about how a dad takes care of his crowd of tots. It even starts out with the promising phrase "once upon a time". Enjoy the magnitude of 10 breakfasts! Imagine collecting and wrestling 10 toddlers into 10 little pairs of underpants, 10 little t-shirts, 10 little pairs of jeans, 20 little socks, and 20 little shoes and then shoe-horning them all into the backseat to drop them off at school while he goes to work. Oh, the fun goes on and [...]

    4. I secretly hoped this book was about sperm donation, sadly it is not. With that being said, it's a cute story and the pages are bright and colorful! There isn't really much of a plot but there are opportunities to get the kiddies' brains thinking about complex math.

    5. I bought this book to announce to our first nine children that number ten was on the way. dadof10/2009/09/g The kids got the message! Cute book for the six and under crowd.
