    1. This story grew on me as I read further into the piece. Though, at first, and even to the end, a few things went over my head.Being only a few thousand words in length, there's not much room to fully explain this fantastical world; a world with magic charms, and people hiding behind the glamours (masks?).While I felt I needed more explanation about how this world and culture works, to fully enjoy the story and its ending, I did like the glamour and underlying theme of outer vs. inner beauty.     2. Eager to read what's nextBefore reading this story, I read Squire Chloe's Demon, which helped me understand the world in which the story takes place. Without reading the prior story, I would have been completely lost. Even so, I found this story hard to follow. It felt like there was missing information that I was supposed to know but did not. Overall, the story felt incomplete. Hopefully other works set in this world will shed more light on what is going on. I did really like the plot and found [...]


    3. Interesting, but could do with another page or twenty to flesh it out and get more of a sense of what's going on. Too short a short story - the author's other two were more developed and much better reads.
