    1. The first English biography of a major 20th century scientific figure. Lemaitre's work on what would become the "Big Bang Theory" is on par with Einstein's work in physics. This is a book for the student of the history of science. Very detailed.

    2. I thought this an impeccably researched book that provides a look at the contributions to science by the Belgian priest, Georges LeMaitre (developed the original Big Bang concept). This is no Gregor Mendel working away in quiet obscurity, but a world-class researcher of his day. Also a nice look how a person of great faith can be a full-on participant in the development of scientific concepts.
