    1. This is a well written story about a young woman and her experience of life and relationships with boys. She comes to learn know more about herself in this short story. It's short at 6500 words but it's fulfilling. It was completed for the J.A. Konrath 8 hour writing challenge and it is undoubtedly one of the better stories from that challenge. I love looking at book covers and this one is lovely. I will be reading more of this authors books.

    2. This was a fun, quirky read. I really enjoyed Amos' ability to create a setting and time with minimal words. It showed an arch and growth of the character wonderfully! Could find pieces of myself in here, especially with the nineties and Smashing Pumpkins. Great read!

    3. A short read but fulfilling nonetheless. It is a relatable and sweet and heartbreaking and touching. The details revealed are enough to fill in the gaps and each year is narrated vividly enough. A lovely read.

    4. In its brief length, author Laura Rae Amos offers up one of the more complete stories released among authors who responded to Joe Konrath's Eight-Hour book challenge.Would I read other stuff by her? Yup.

    5. The story here is cleverly crafted between the spaces of what is actually being said. It's a short story that packs some heft, but doesn't leave you wanting.
