    1. Although I worked for Ares Publishers for some years and still contribute to its journal, this is probably only the second volume of Ancient World that I've read cover to cover. The publication is not for the general public, many of its articles presupposing considerable knowledge on the part of readers. Little wonder that libraries constitute a significant proportion of the subscriber base.Still, some of the articles are accessible and some are exceptionally good.
