    2. I stayed up until three in the morning reading this, so I'd say it's pretty good. Basically the book is about a young slave, Aurelius, and the gladiator he falls for, Cabiros. I thought the book was well written and well researched. Clearly the author knows what she is talking about. Some real, historical people even make an appearance, such as Crixus and Oenomaus, who did exist around that time period and were gladiators in Capua. Their names should sound familiar to anyone who has seen the sho [...]
