    1. I am not a vegan, but often pick up vegan or vegetarian cookbooks because they focus more on vegetables (and often a wider array of vegetables) than a lot of other cookbooks. This one looked great when I skimmed through it in the library. Homemade cashew cream, for that creamy richness often missing in dairy-free cooking. Lots of yummy dipping sauces. Tacos, soups, delectable deserts, and more. And all looked like they'd come from a gourmet restaurant. I guess that should have been my warning.I [...]


    2. I love this book. The writing is engaging, and the recipes are easy to follow or adapt. Oh, and they are delicious! His Cauliflower Bechamel is a family favorite.


    3. Well, Roberto Martin is pretty adorable, but once again, the recipes just aren't quite to my taste. There are a few that look pretty tasty and most of the recipes seem fairly easy and without a whole lot of crazy ingredients, but there's really not enough I think I would enjoy to justify purchasing the book. Yay, library!


    4. Nice photos of the food, but not all recipes are depicted. Quite a few of the recipes use gourmetish ingredients or at least ones that I am not familiar with like celeriac bulbs and gobo root. Reicpes look good and easy to follow if you can find the ingredients.


    5. Loved the guacamole! Not too many weird things in here. Plus he cooked for Ellen and Portia, so gotta be good! I would like to try some of the tofu recipes but I need willing victims, er, people in my family
