    1. This was a cute little book about a young raccoon named Sally that just wants to go to bed but her parents want her to stay up with them. She continuously insists that she must go to sleep, but her parents come up with all kinds of things for them to do, such as baking, playing games, and dancing. Finally Sally has had enough and raises her voice, and her parents finally tuck her in and let her go to sleep. Children would love this book because it is the opposite of what usually happens in their [...]

    2. I loved this book. It may be hard for young children to grasp the spin on the scenario however. This story has flipped the role of the child and the parent. The parents in the book will not let their daughter go to bed even though she is really tired. They give her many reasons and excuses to stay up that kids often do when they do not want to go to bed, such as being hungry or wanting to play. However, Sally explains to them even though she loves them the answer is no because she is tired and i [...]

    3. Stay Awake Sally is a story about a young girl who is supposed to be getting ready for bed. Her parents want to stay awake and do fun things like dance, play games, and read lots of bedtime stories. Sally is being responsible by telling her parents that she must go through her nightly routine and get ready for bed. Sally finally gets through to her parents and compromises with them to get ready for bed and the next day.I would use this story to help ask the children routines that they encounter [...]

    4. I love this book it shows a lot of irony. Children are usually the ones that you are not able to get to sleep, but in this book it is the parents that will not allow Sally to go to sleep. As a parent I get excitied and will allow the kids to stay up late because of an activity or something we are doing together and usually when we get in the car to go home they are fast asleep. This book shows basic and understandable vocabulary for a preschooler. Mitra Modarressi:1.Graduated from the Rhode Isla [...]

    5. This was a fun book with the parents really wanting their daughter Sally to stay up and have fun. Sally is actually responsible for her age saying that it is a school night, and she needs her rest to do her best. Her parents finally let Sally go to sleep. But the love and illustration throughout the book makes this book a good twist for a bedtime story.

    6. Who would have guess that the rules can change.Sally knew that it was her bedtime and the parents wanted to play. This is a very good book to read for children specially for bedtime. Extensions:I will ask children to tell me what the think about the story.Get the children ready for nape time.

    7. This is a new FAVORITE bedtime story. (Yes, I know I have hundreds, but bedtime picture books are among my favorite things!) The racoon parents want their little Sallie to stay awake. All of my children (ages 2-12)get a kick out of this book. I think it helps that we have a Sallie at our house.

    8. Sooo cute! Sally knows when it's time to go to bed, but who would have thought it would be so hard to convince Mom and Dad?

    9. excellent story about sally, who wants to go to bed--while her parents offer up every excuse possible for her to stay awake. great bedtime book. good book for read aloud?

    10. I think in this book the rules have changed, and the parents are acting like the child to prove a point to their daughter that doesnt want to go to sleep.
