    1. Hit and Nun is the third book in the A Lucille Mystery series.I love this series, as the characters seem so real to me, it's like I've met them in real life. Lucille and Flo are the Lucy Ricardo and Ethel Mertz of the literary world.Life is good for Lucille, her daughter, Bernadette, has gotten married and has had her baby. All in the excepted order, too. But Bernadette then drops the bombshell that her and her husband, Tony, don't want to have their baby baptized and it is time for Lucille to h [...]

    2. Great Series! This is a great series; this is the third book in the A Lucille Mystery Series by Peg Cochran. It can be read as a standalone, but once you read this one you will want to read the others in the series. This book kept my attention from the first page until the last. Lucille is at her favorite pizzeria when the owner drops dead at her fee. She decides to go undercover by working at the pizzeria to find out who killed him. This book has it all humor, mystery, and pizza. I am looking fo [...]

    3. Hit and Nun by Peg Cochran is a funny cozy mystery and the third book in The Lucille Mystery series. Lucille Mazzarella is in her fifties, married to Frankie, has a daughter, Bernadette, and a granddaughter, Lucia. She is also overweight, going through menopause, and dislikes change. Lucille still wears the leather jacket her husband gave her in high school (though it barely zips) and drives her 1987 Olds (despite the fact that it is on its last legs). Lucille comes from an Italian family. She h [...]

    4. Lucille stops in at her favorite pizzeria and speaks briefly with the owner's wife, Tiffany, and purchases a couple of slices for her lunch. She then goes to work at St. Rocco's, and while checking flowers, the pizzeria's owner, Sal, runs into the church asking for the priest. It turns out, Sal has been stabbed, and dies before he can tell Lucille who did this. Thus begins the search for his killerNow we already know Lucille and her friend Flo are going to investigate the murder, even though the [...]

    5. Hit and Nun (A Lucille Mystery #3)by Peg Cochran ( Author)Kindle EditionPublished January 5th 2015 by Beyond the Page synopsis: The hilarious Lucille Mazzarella is back, and this time she’s investigating a murder linked to her favorite pizzeria. When the fifty-something housewife goes undercover at a restaurant to solve the case, she quickly learns that if the killer doesn’t get her, the calories will. When I started reading this book I didn't expect that the main character would be close to [...]

    6. Hit and Nun and the Lucille Mystery Series is for cozy mystery fans who also love slapstick humor. Lucille, a fifty-year-old Italian-American woman and grandmother, who is happily married to her childhood sweetheart, is the unlikely protagonist of this slapstick cozy series (3 books to date).Lucille's family loves their Italian food and they follow the big Sunday dinner tradition that many hyphenated Italians enjoy. Italian food plays a big part in their lives. Lucille is particularly fond of It [...]

    7. HIT and NUN by Peg Cochran again utilizes the wonderful character Lucille Mazzarella who returns in another hilarious cozy mystery in which she is investigating a murder linked to her favorite pizzeria. I am a huge fan of this author as well as the heroine. I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in return for an honest review. The protangist is a 50's housewife and part-time worker at her local catholic church. When the owner of her favorite pizzeria actually falls dead a [...]

    8. Hit and Nun by Peg Cochran is a great funny mystery and the third book in The Lucille Mystery series. My biggest worry about reading this book was that it was part three of a series and I really worried if it would be a stand alone or not. However it is easily a great stand alone! Lucille Mazzarella is in her fifties, overweight, and going through menopause. Not mention she still wears the leather jacket that her husband gave her in high school (even though it just barely zips up) and drives her [...]

    9. Third in a series featuring an accidental detective, a woman who volunteers at a church where she comes across a dead pizza owner and is talked into investigating with her midlife-crisis semi-crazy best friend. This is my first entry into this series, and it had a weird vibe to start, but I kept going. The weird vibe grew more enjoyable and by the end I was fully into it, though it was difficult sympathizing with the main character. In addition to not being the smartest person in town—and ther [...]

    10. Hit and Nun is the third book in the Lucille series and it’s as good as the other two. This time there is a pizza war between two rival stores. When one of the pizza store owners is murdered of course the first person they look at is the owner of the second shop. But was it really him or was there something else that caused the murder? When the wife of the murdered man turns up dead, maybe there is something more sinister afoot. Peg Cochran writes Lucille as an everyday person just wanting jus [...]

    11. I've read all three books in this series and I love Lucille and her family. The stereotypical Italian multi-generational family all live close by and have dinner together every Sunday. With a new grandbaby to worry about and all her volunteer activities Lucille keeps busy. When she is at the church the local pizza man comes in and dies. She needs to solve this murder before his business is closed for good. (The best pizza in town) She discovers he and his wife were involved in a hit and run acci [...]

    12. Lucille is unique funny character in this cozy mystery. She has the talent to do the wrong things and of course they go wrong. Lucile and her best friend Flo decides to investigate the killing of the Pizza owner. Lucille was at her church when he staggers into it. He is bleeding and wants to be baptize. No priest around so Lucille baptized him before calling 911. As the investigation continues Lucille and Flo have you laughing Through most of the book by their antics to the uproarious end. I fel [...]

    14. I got this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for a review. This was the 3rd book in the series, but my first book by this Author. You can enjoy the book as a stand alone but I think I would have enjoyed it more had I known the characters better. For some reason I did not like it as much as I thought I would, not that it wasn't funny and filled with colorful characters and plenty of fun sleuthing by our heroine Lucille and her trusted sidekick Flo, somehow it just did not hold my interest [...]

    15. Oh my this is the funniest book I have read in a long time! This is the first book by Peg Cochran that I have read, but it certainly will not be the last. Hilarious, engaging characters with the main one being Lucille, who is married with children with an Italian flavor mixed in. I love books that grab you from the start and keep you laughing throughout the story. The mystery part of the story is just right and keeps you guessing. Wonderful story.

    16. Lucille Mazzarella is minding her own business checking on the flower arrangements in church when the best pizza maker in town stumbles in and falls dead at her feet. Obviously she was meant to find his killer. What follows is a funny cozy mystery that's sure to make you laugh. Think I Love Lucy with a touch of Jersey Shore. Good fun read.

    17. This is book three and the first I've read in this series. I found the mystery excellent, the characters charming, and I laughed out loud all through the story!! I'll definitely read the two previous books now!I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. This review is my own personal opinion and not influenced by anyone else.

    18. I love this series! You have to be able to overlook the bad grammar as the author writes as the characters would speak. But even though I am a grammar freak, I had no trouble getting past it. I just love Lucille. Hoping there are more Lucille books to come.

    19. Quick read. Good quick read. You never guess who did it. Funny also. If you need something quick for a trip to hold your interest this is it.

    20. This book was just what I needed ♥ Like a breath of fresh air. The book is hilarious, they characters feel like you know them and can relate to them. I was given a copy through NetGalley
