        Although born in New Orleans, I am proud to call myself an Alaskan I have lived here for 37 years, I have lived through 40 degrees, hauled water, made bear bacon and live in a cabin I have used a fish wheel to catch salmon coming up the Copper River I was my second husband s chief mechanic s helper and only roadie I have cut firewood on shares, worked as a cocktail waitress, then as a paralegal for over 26 years I hold the 80 press card as a reporter for the Copper Valley Views newspaper which ceased publication in the 1980s I have been writing stories since junior high Retired now, I can devote my time to what I love.I came to Alaska by way of Arizona and California I experienced the building of the pipeline up close Then my second husband and I moved to Wasilla to get warm It hardly ever drops past 25 in South Central Alaska I never thought I would love it so much I never want to leave The beauty of Alaska is a draw I cannot resist I love the people and the history I have been captured by a place I came to under duress Life does play some interesting tricks on one I lost my first husband to alcohol My second husband, the love of my life died as a result of disease We were not apart than 24 hours for 20 plus years I never wanted to be anywhere but with him He was a man to run the river with.

    1. MacFarlane’s, The Cheat, is a fun read in a quirky kind of way. The two main characters, Francis and Monte are extremely lovable and true to real life. The characters are well-developed exhibiting all the insecurities and flaws that plague us as we search for true soulmate. There’s Francis, an ordinary paralegal, believing she’s fat and forty, and Monte, a popular guitar player with a local band, who thinks Francis is “fancy" fabulous.     2. The Cheat is a fun little story that had me laughing all the way through. Even though infidelity and divorce are not funny subjects the author has a way of making the mood much lighter. I love her spunky style of writing and her good whit. Makes for a very easy, entertaining read.There are unexpected moments and a clever storyline that had me reading as quick as I could. Curiosity got the best of me. This is a quirky love story that had me wanting more. Much more!


    3. Perfectly Wonderful While this is a novella it's a all in one package. Loved it and how well it played out in 27 pages. Loved the characters would've loved to know more about them but this novella has the perfect set up for those two. Quite impressed and really loved how feisty she was lol.


    4. This story is short but real. It has real life tragic truths and no candy coated sweetness, just truth about how it was and is . I felt like I could relate. I read this in order to provide an honest opinion on this story.
