    1. 3.5 Reality TV Meets Realness * * * 1/2Take an unwilling but active participant of a local Kardashian type family reality show out of Georgia. Annamae Jessup is about to be married to the prize baseball player who everyone adores. She is in a bit of a panick she is not feeling that this is what should be happening and makes the error of calling into a talk show out of desperation asking what she should doOnly problem is when she asks, her distinctive voice gives her away her to realize she was n [...]

    2. I receive a copy in exchange for an honest reviewThis was such a fun and enjoyable book. The tone was light, while still dealing with some serious and heavier issues as well, but overall this book was just a lot of fun. Annamae accidentally breaks-up with her fiancé on real life television and radio and then decides she has had enough and takes off to spend some time in a small town. She ends up meeting her grandmother, who had never met before. And while looking for a house she meets Wynn, who [...]

    3. This is cute and actually much better than I was expecting. Unenthusiastic reality TV show participant Annamae Jessup realizes on the day before her overly-publicized wedding that she's not in love with the high-profile baseball star she's engaged to. She phones a call-in radio show that offers romantic advice, giving a phony name and trying to disguise her voice. Unfortunately, her identity is immediately recognized, setting off a media frenzy before she even has a chance to break the news to h [...]

    4. ***ARC given by author & Tasty Book Tours***ARA’S NOTE:Initially I thought Annamae was a typical primadona reality TV star whose biggest problem is what lip gloss she's going to wear. I was wrong. Hey don't blame me! The blurb sort of gives off that vibe. Anyway, here's my judgement of The Wedding AuditionNOPSIS:The tabloids call her the Hit and Run Bride after reality show star Annamae Jessup walked out on Atlanta's favorite baseball player on cable television. Eager to escape her notorie [...]

    6. She's a reality TV star, he's under Witness Protection program. Her face is plastered in front of the TV, he tries hard to hide himself from everyone else. She just dumped her fiancé through a live radio show, he wanted his neighbours to stay away from him. She uses her stepfather's name in showbizness, he uses an alias in hiding. She's Annamae Jessup aka Annamae Smith. He's Wynn Rafferty aka Heath Lambert. Two strangers, both yearn for privacy, hounded by paparazzi and soon bound by their love [...]

    7. I received a copy of this book from Tasty Book Tours in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book's blog tour promotions. When I was introduced to the heroine in the previous novella, I was intrigued by her. Reading this book, I liked her even more. I have to say, I really thought that Annamae and her golden boy athlete were going to end up with each other. I kind of liked them both. However, when I met the hero, I was a fan of him right away.I liked this book better than the novella [...]

    8. I really enjoyed this story and even though to says it is written by two authors, the transition are seamless and you can really sit down and enjoy the ride. Annamae and her family star in a reality show and she gets nervous right before her wedding and calls it off when she realizes this is not what she wants to do. She wants to find her grandmother and find out what happened to her real father. Wynn is under protection due to an upcoming trial that he is a witness for. He's really a cop but An [...]

    9. Received through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.Ugh! Reality shows! Annamae is a celebrity on a reality show & after she dumps her fiancee over the radio, she flees to her grandmother's town to find out more about her past and figure out who she is.I'm so glad that Annamae got out of the scene & found Wynn! Their romance seemed a little forced at the beginning but it grew on me, so by the end it just felt right!

    10. kind of reminded me of runaway bride with julia roberts - but without richard gere - wish it had been slightly longer

    11. It was a fast, cute fluffy read but the ending was ridiculous to me. (view spoiler)[Really the cop who has all kinds of weapons ends up fighting hand to hand with the bad guy and then the reality show actress shows up just in time to hit him over the head and knock him out to save the hero (hide spoiler)]. Also the love was pretty instant but not a bad read.

    12. RATING 4.5 STARSThe Wedding Audition is book one in the Runaway Brides series by Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock. This book was the perfect mix of sweet romance and a little bit of suspense. I loved it.Annamae Jessup has spent her life in front of the cameras, every move scripted for a reality television program involving her family. She never knew her biological father but has been raised by her step father. Her wedding is one day away. In twenty four hours she will marry the baseball star, the [...]

    13. Talk about an interesting and different story! Co-written by Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock, “The Wedding Audition” (Runaway Bride Series 2), is easy on the mind, charming to read and warm to the heart. Runaway reality star and soon-to-be-ex-bride Annamae Jessup leaves behind a cable network show and takes a road trip to visit her roots. Her trip lands her in the apple orchards of Wynn Rafferty, a cop in a witness protection program. Annamae brings the gossip and tabloids in her wake, and Wy [...]

    14. Refreshingly originally set up in this story. The Jessup reality television series family is so dramatic, they are comically funny and very entertaining. Their daughter AnnaMae has, for the first time in her life, found her backbone, and stands up for what she wants, needs, out of her life, even though maybe going for it in a wrong way.On her way to find out more about her real father, and escape from the disaster her life has turned out to be, she runs into Wynn, and sparks fly. The attraction i [...]

    15. This was a fun and cute story. The story flowed well and at a decent pace. Annamae and Wynn, you could say, felt the sparks right away. Maybe not admitting it to themselves, but it didn't take too long for them to see what was in front of them. Wynn is an undercover cop hiding until a high profile case goes to court. The only thing I didn't like was how abruptly it ended. I expected a little more action and storyline to the cop angle. (Can't really say more without spoiling it). But overall, I e [...]

    16. 3.5 starsThis first story in the Runaway Brides is a fun light and breezy way to spend and afternoon. Annamae is more than the tv princess she seems like and she crashes into Wynn's life (he's in temporary witness protection) like a freight train. It may be a short story, but it packs a punch.I received a review copy from NetGalley for my honest review

    17. It was a pleasant and funny read but I was not impressed. It wasn't really romantic, the relationship between the two protagonists was cold for more than half of the story. I liked so much the setting, a farm with apple trees and many cats in a small town in Alabama. And I loved the grandmother, an old lady whimsical and intelligent.

    18. Swwet story This is such a sweet story. It is well written and a couple twists that you don't see coming, just to keep it entertaining.

    19. Cute quick read but I really didn't feel any chemistry between these charactersAs cute of a story idea as this was, I just couldn't buy into the instant attraction these characters had. I didn't feel any sparks between them despite how much the author said there was and their chemistry seemed too forced. It just didn't click for me. The flow of the story could have been part of that problem as it seemed to have odd pacing but that seems to always be a struggle with shorter stories.

    20. Better than nothing.I muddled through this book with the hopes that the little sparks of interest would kindle into some worthwhile reading. Everything was implausible and the ending was just ridiculous. We are to believe the experienced cop, who the writer makes sure to tell us is armed, ends up grappling on the floor with the would-be assassin only so the heroine can save the day. She hits the assassin on the back with a pair of clippers and he's down for the count? I don't know how this endin [...]

    21. A bride runs awayAnnamae runs away two days before her wedding knowing that she cannot marry her fiance. She goes to Alabama to meet her grandmother mnd's up on a farm with a surly farmer renting a Gatehouse on the property. One thing leads to another and before they knew it they are in a relationship. But they are from different worlds and it seems impossible that it will last.

    22. Ah, yummy! This was a rather fun read. A runaway bride from a reality show takes off hunting her long lost granny who she doesn't know, and runs smack into a cop hiding from gangsters while awaiting his trial date. This is a well written book, with great characters and a fun storyline. It's not all sex and lust, or violence. A very good read.

    23. Short and sweet Only 2 Stars because I was expecting another more intense dramatic ending. It was not a bad ending, but I feel like something is missing. It touches a lot of things, but goes over them too fast. Storylines I mean. It should have been longer and the backstories more detailed :) I really want to know more about Hazel Mae!I recommend it for adults ( sex scenes included ) who want a quick cute romance read.

    24. Cool storyline for this series Pretty good book. Definitely liked the plot with this one. Just quirky enough to keep my interest. I would definitely continue with the series.

    25. Easy read.Good book but to graphic for my taste. Won't read anything else by Catherine Mann. Won't recommend to any of my Christian friends.
