    1. I could never resist books with a boss-secretary trope. Unfortunately, it didn't pan out as I had a hard time connecting with the story and its characters. Kate decided to quit her job as a personal assistant to Greek boss Aleksei because she's in love with him and she's having a hard time dealing with his playboy ways. Before she was to go on a holiday trip, she and Aleksei spent a passionate night together which resulted in a pregnancy. Aleksei offered her marriage, which Kate accepted even th [...]

    2. Review by Trinette DungeeKate Burrows has decided to quit her job. Not because she doesn’t like it, she loves it. Not because she’s not good at it, she excels at it. Kate has to quite her job because she is head over heels in love with her boss. Aleksei Aleksanou is a playboy of the worst kind. Women are hobbies to him, as a matter of fact; part of Kate’s job is fielding calls when they’ve been dismissed by Aleksei; and sending them their very expensive parting gifts. For years Kate has [...]

    3. A wife in every sense.2 baby love stars This story had so much potential but fell too flat for me the emotions all seemed forced and unbelievable. This is one of those well written novels that just don’t come to fruition as it should have. Too many plot holes. Im sad because I was truly hoping to see that BOSS and PA taboo love thing but it was just kinda here you go without the build up

    4. I wanted to like this book. There were some things stacked against it from the start. It's written in third person, my least favorite. It was a "tell not show" kinda story that put emotional distance between me and the characters. It skipped big parts of scenes as if nothing significant happened during them - driving me mad. But the last straw to deciding this wasn't just an okay book but one I just didn't enjoy was the leaving of strings of plot untied. While I really don't enjoy third person wr [...]

Originally posted at Revenge of the FeelsA Wife in Every Sense is literally one of the most unique novel I have ever read! From the sparks between them that was too hot to be ignored and resulted in a passionate night, to Kate being pregnant, and jealousy arising, it would seem that Aleksei and Kate are your typical couple…or not!(I can literally imagine how hot and handsome Aleksei is just from the author’s writing! I need a real life Aleksei NOW!)Okay, so Kate Burrows practically own every [...]

    6. A Wife in Every Sense (a book received from NetGalley) was a story about a wealthy, handsome Greek man, Aleksei, with corporate offices in the UK. He has a personal assistant, Kate, that he greatly values who secretly has fallen for him. She is leaving to travel extensively with her friend with no exact plans of what she is going to do when her trip is over. Prior to leaving she has an intimate date with Aleksei that results in pregnancy. Kate has no intention of meeting up with Aleksei in Greec [...]

    7. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.I think I've mentioned it before that there was a time when I was so hooked on Harlequin romances. Whether it was the Presents line, the Blaze, the Super Romance or the Presents Extra, I would spend hours and hours reading through hundreds of those books. I just felt like the stories were simple, romance focused, and made for lots of light reading. That's generally how I feel about a lot of Entangled [...]

    8. I really enjoyed A Wife in Every Sense by Joanne Walsh. I read this in an afternoon.Aleksei Aleksanou is an extremely wealthy businessman, and a womanizer with commitment issues.Kate Burrows, is his very capable and witty assistant. Kate doesn’t date because she is unable to trust a man with her heart.Aleksei and Kate have worked well together for the past two years, while harbouring their true feelings for each other. In the end Kate can’t take anymore, as she watches an endless procession [...]

    9. 2-2.5 stars. To be honest, this wasn’t really my favorite read.I didn’t like Kate and Aleksei very much. Kate held back a lot and I was tired of her will she or won’t she get married, and when she decided, she was filled with doubt. I don’t know, more than anything, I disliked her being so passive about things. I wanted to shake her and tell her to stand her ground and demand the things she wanted. As for Aleksei, I didn’t like him at all. It wasn’t that he was controlling, but that he [...]

    10. Kate Burrows has had a crush on her womanizing boss Aleksei Aleksanou for quite some time; Kate decides that the only way to get over it is to quit and go travel. Before she leaves Kate and Aleksei hook up and unbeknown to them someone else comes along.Kate spends her entire vacation sick and after a run-in with a thief and a subsequent trip to the hospital, Kate learns she's pregnant. Although surprise, Aleksei also finds out she's pregnant and he is soon issuing marriage demands. Kate and Alek [...]

    11. Kate is a good girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. Unfortunately a bad experience in the past makes her wary enough not to trust her heart again. That is the reason she can no longer work for Aleksei Aleksanou. After 3 years working closely with him as his PA she is aware that he would never reciprocate her feelings because Aleksei does not do relationships, forget being in a committed one. So she says farewell to her job to travel for a while but not before they fall in to bed one frantic a [...]

    12. Though decidedly Harlequin-esque with an old skool flavor, Walsh makes this her own as she writes a sweet slow burning romance between a billionaire and a former employee. Using a surprise pregnancy to tie our lovers together, Walsh spends a considerable amount of time addressing emotional issues on both ends, allowing this couple time to get to really know one another and fall in love. secure the romance. Both characters are well developed and personable with actions and reactions in accordance [...]

    13. 3 starsWhen I first read the blurb for A Wife in Every Sense I was really looking forward to reading, it sounded like my kind of read.Unfortunately I didn't love it, while parts were good and kept me reading I found myself not connecting to either Aleksei and Kate.Overall this was a quick read with a good storyline.Thank you Entangled: Indulgence via Netgalley for the advance copy.

    14. The romance of Kate and Aleksei was one of pure adoration and respect. The way he truly proved himself all awhile healing and putting his past to rest is what secured their future. I was happy that Kate stood up for herself but also allowed him in too. It was humbling but I was on the edge of my bed thinking of the tragedy that was to come. That scene was intense.

    15. ***Review can also be found at Jackie's Book World.*** :) Not having read any other works by Joanne Walsh, I was immediately drawn to the cover, I mean who wouldn’t? It fits the title and the synopsis really well that I just couldn’t pass along. Anyway, I really liked reading the book, the story as a whole is not completely new, but the author does bring a couple of fresh ideas to the plot that made it that much more enjoyable to read. From the very beginning we meet Kate Burrows, assistant [...]

    16. A Wife In Every Sense is by new-to-me author Joanne Walsh. I'm a bit torn with this book, because there was so much liked about it, however I found a few things missing for myself personally. This book itself is well written, in alternating third person, and can be read as a stand alone novel. It also does have an HEA.Going into this book, the cover is what caught my attention. Not even the abs, although those are rather distracting. ;) No, it was the look on the guys face. After I read the syno [...]

    17. Kate is Greek billionaire Aleksei's personal assistant whom has decided it is time to move on. She has been in love with him for a while and what she doesn't know is that he is just as attracted to her but since she was his employee he decides that being a woman hopping man-whore works out better. Kate is leaving to go on an extended travel vacation with her best friend and has no real plans for what she is going to do when she gets back. Prior to leaving two things happens: (1) Kate and Aleksei [...]

    18. 1.5 WTF did I just read Stars Umm… I’m still not sure what happened here. This book is like a walking contradiction… if books could walk that is.Let me begin by saying that I’m quite a fan of stories containing a Greek asshat H. Add to that an unwanted pregnancy and a boss-pa/secretary relationship and I thought I had a sure winner in my hands… well I had it wrong. There was no character depth anywhere, not the main characters, not the surrounding family members, not even the bad guys. [...]

COMING SOON: A WIFE IN EVERY SENSE BY JOANNE WALSH   READ AND REVIEW A WIFE IN EVERY SENSE BY JOANNE WALSH Release Date:  September 14, 2015 SYNOPSIS Love was never part of his plan Kate Burrows is crushing on her boss big time. 20. First off, I like that Kate is beautiful, yet kind of nerdy. She doesn’t realize she’s beautiful because she continually compares herself to the models that Aleksei dates (or rather keeps around for a small amount of time, breaks it off, then has Kate send them extravagant gifts to leave him alone). Kate is the opposite of all those supermodels and her problem is they get Aleksei while she may get to see him every day as his assistant, she doesn’t have his affection in a more intimate capa [...]

    21. Kate Burrows has been Aleksei Aleksanou’s assistant for a couple of years, and they are attracted to each other, but they are both dedicated professionals, so they never acted on their attraction. It’s taking its toll on Kate, so she hands in her resignation because she fears she’ll succumb and her heart will be broken; she’s been burned before and Aleksei is a known playboy. She will be travelling for 3 months, and going to Greece, to Aleksei’s native island Naxea, because he has told [...]

    22. I received a copy of this book through NetGalley from Entangled Publishing for an honest review. I'm a little surprised by some of the 2 and 3 star reviews for this book. I really liked it and thought it was entertaining read. Nothing too angsty or complex and instead just the right amount of drama. The story establishes Aleksei and Kate have a very positive and strong working relationship (she's his personal assistant). They're both attracted to each other, but have never acted on it and are re [...]

    24. When I first started this story, I thought that it would be the typical woman gets pregnant and the man doesn't want to have anything to do with her, but I was so wrong. I love that Joanne wrote this one to where the man took on the responsibility that he had left the woman with and did everything he could to provide for her.Kate was a young lady working for Aleksei. Kate had a huge crush on Aleksei, her boss but she knew she had to get out of that job before something ended up happening with Al [...]

    25. *A gifted copy was provided by the publisher for my honest review*I did not like this story very much and I am someone who LOVES a good Billionaire Pregnancy romance story . Unfortunately this felt so very wrong because of how the hero treated the heroine until the very end and that didn’t make up for the first 80 % of the book. Kate Burrows has a huge love crush on her womanizing boss Aleksei Aleksanou for a long time; Kate had decided it was better for her to leave-to quit and travel the wor [...]

    26. Aleksei Aleksanou, Greek billionaire, was Kate Burrows' boss. She developed a slight crush on him and decided that it would never go anywhere because he doesn't do love or commitment. So, she quit her job and was going on a two month vacation. The day before she left he came to her apartment and they ended up in bed. Ten weeks into her vacation, she starts to put two and two together because she's sick all the time and she's very tired. When she tells Aleksei what's going on, he decides marriage [...]

    27. I really loved both of these characters - they had real life issues that rang true, and they were just good people that you enjoyed cheering for. But some of the aspects of their relationship just didn't ring as true as the characters themselves did. And I never quite understand the accidental pregnancy story these days. People - use a condom - have the conversation - it just makes it that more believable.Kate is gun shy with ALL men. After a horrible experience in college where she was humiliat [...]
