    1. I was a little concerned at first about this book being very political. But I loved the romance in this book very much. It was a good surprise book to me really. I have always wanted to see Paris so I am glad the author captured it so well in these pages. I think this a great book for anyone who loves romance books! * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

    2. Let me start this review by saying that not too many months ago I finally took my dream trip to Paris, so when you combine that with me being an unabashed political junkie you can see how this book would be like catnip for me. But it was much more than that. So. Much. More. This book is a love story first and foremost. Some will tell you the love story is between Jonny and Naya but I would say the real love story is between the author and Paris. Everything from the way Thomas Bartlett illustrates [...]

    3. "Thomas Bartlett--self-proclaimed author, ghost writer, teacher, restaurant manager, waiter, and cook--is a young man to watch, as he develops his certainty of what he was "always going to be, a writer."That is how I ended the long review that I posted on my blog. Books in the general categories of "international romantic espionage thrillers" have never been at the top of my "Want to Read" list. They most likely still won't be. But I have to say that I just had a great time reading this novel. I [...]

    4. Whatever your politics 'Americans Bombing Paris' will haul you down into the horror and confusion of one man's reprisal against the powers that be. The protagonist, Johnny, is understandably angry over the literal American bombing of Paris over an inter-governmental conflict. Overtly conflating political ideology and a hero's story/journey is usually problematic, though in ABP's ending the hero's eventual outcome is appropriate given his actions. I admired that the writer pulls no punches on tha [...]

    5. At first, Americans Bombing Paris seems like a psychological and political novel in the vein of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's Notes from Underground. As a reader, you immediately wonder about the reliability and mental stability of the narrator. However, as the novel progresses, its vision becomes clear: it is a story about a man filled with anger about the loss of his two loves (a woman named Naya and the city of Paris). The story begins with the narrator, Johnny, looking out over the city of Paris from [...]

    6. Spoiler. I wrote this book so I am that last person anyone should ask.But I do think that it is not the same as any other books you might have read this year.
