    1. The idea was very appealing to me as a lover of "second chances" + "road trip" theme. However, the execution fell into my so-so spectrum *shrugs*. I thought that both Nick and Cameron hang up on that 'kiss back then' a little too long. Their back and forth internal monologue became repetitive, because as a reader, I knew that both men perceived wrong about each other's reason for that event. I wish the story focuses more on Nick and Cameron as individual characters; despite them being friends th [...]

    2. Seattle to Vermont. **** Nick and his sister are going to a wedding, and her best friend Cameron will be there, too. Since their childhoods, the three hung out together, especially while Cameron underwent cancer treatments. Nick is now out of the Marines and is a mechanic. Kaitlin set yup a trip for the guys to travel together, Seattle to Vermont, with planned stops and hotels and sightseeing along the way. While they are on their journey they admit to each other, how much each man cares for the [...]

    3. What could be more interesting than spending 3 weeks on a cross-country road trip to attend a wedding? Well, there's a bit more to it than that, but that's how the story starts. Did I mention that Cameron is the BFF of the of the bride? Oh, and Nick is the big brother of the bride. Let's not forget that Cameron has had a crush on Nick since puberty LOL! This truly is an uplifting story of two men who have been through some not-so-pleasant times and how sometimes you just have to yell "screw it" [...]

After opting out, he found himself doing mechanic work and re-entering life as a student. But now his best friend, his sister, was getting married in Vermont and he needed to be there. The road to Frosty Hollow was about to get interesting. "I just want this normal."Cameron had always been sickly and best fr [...]

    5. A Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words Review An Alisa Review:Rating: 4 stars out of 5This was a wonderful story. They both go along with Nick’s sister’s plan for the road trip across the country.Nick is stuck in a rut and hopes this road trip will give him time to put some perspective on his life and decide what he wants to do anymore. 6. I love road-trips and I more or less end up enjoying the romances based on them along with loving all the sight-seeing and food that are a part of it. “Road to Frosty Hollow” is a road-trip based romance with the added tension of buried feelings between the MCs.Nick is an ex-marine trying to work out his future. On his younger sister’s marriage, Nick is persuaded by her to take a road-trip across country with her childhood best friend, Cameron. Nick and Cameron had grown up together and ha [...]

    7. I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads. Ooh - I love a good road trip romance! Add a directionless retired marine and I’m sold. There is surprising depth to the character development in this very short book. Both Nick and Cameron are experiencing life events that make them vulnerable and reflective while they test out the connection they’ve felt for each other since they were teenagers. The men start their road trip as acquaintances sharing a ride to Nick’s sis [...]

    8. ~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads Review Team~This was a sweet, short read. I enjoyed seeing Nick and Cameron’s relationship grow on the cross country trip. I even loved Nick’s sister Kaitlin and her meddling, such a good sister. It was a feel good story, which gave you just enough but had you wanting more. I wanted to know what happened next and now I will just have to imagine what happened, which is fine, but I could stand to have some more of Nick an [...]

    9. This is the first book by R.J. Scott that I have read and it will not be the last. The two main characters Nick and Cameron have known each other most of their lives. They are both battling their own demons. Can they survive a cross country road trip and come out the otherside in a better place? You will have to read the book yourself to find out. I will tell you Nick and Cameron did a lot of thinking, talking and soul searching as they travel across country. This book is a quick, easy and fun r [...]

    10. Probably my last Christmas book of the year. Easy to read slightly angsty road trip across the country to a wedding where the two main characters, Cameron and Nick are trying to work out their feelings for each other, and what comes next in their lives.Enough reflection here to show sad backstories, and the kiss that could have led to something more ten years ago. But both needed to grow up a little, although some of the stumbles along the way are hurtful.Glad I went on this trip with them.

    11. I am a total sucker for a second-chance story – I love them and I can definitely add The Road to Frosty Hollow as one I fell in love with. This was a sweet story that got me right in the heart and I really enjoyed it from start to finish!Nick’s life isn’t really going as planned and he has some decisions to make. Does he stay in Seattle and try to make things work or is time to pack it up and move back home, across the country. He’s got a few weeks to make his decision, but those will be [...]

    12. I seldom pick up any book about road trip and even though I decided to give it a go since is by RJ Scott, I'm not convinced road trip story is really my thing. Nick is an ex-SEAL contemplating his future and job prospect. When his sister suggest him to join Cameron for a three weeks road trip from Seattle to Frosty Hollow for her wedding to clear his mind, he reluctantly agree. Is been almost a decade since he last met Cameron, the neighbor kid that he used to play with. Cameron is Nick's sister [...]

    13. Heartbreak and a road trip with someone you might have loved at one time. That’s the undercurrent of this story as well as the river of emotion that flows through it from beginning to end.Nick is a Marine who has come home to make a life as a civilian in Seattle. His beloved sister is getting married in their hometown in Vermont. To save money on the long trip he decides to share the ride with a childhood friend. The catch is, that friend was his first crush who ran from Nick after their first [...]

    14. ~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~This is a really enjoyable read, which will warm the heart of any romantic - and if you read the Montana series, there is a little extra treat in here, which really made me smile! Two men, who last saw each other when one pushed the other away after a first kiss at a party in high school, agree to drive cross country back home for a wedding not necessarily the best idea either of them had, but Nick's sister, and also Ca [...]

    15. Oh man, this is a good book! Several times I caught myself thinking, “wow!, authors R. J. Scott and Meredith Russell went above and beyond to include the little things to elevate this book to a higher level.” There was so much attention to detail and conscientious commitment to characterization, honoring the main characters Nick and Cameron for who they were right down to the core, so much so that this story is going to remain with me for a long time. There was no fickle angst or drivel to d [...]

    16. I enjoyed this book, loved all the stops they made during their cross-country trip, especially to Crooked Tree Ranch. So much clicked for me about this book except one small detail about Cam, believe me I get it when he was in denial about not wanting to hear or read what the clinic/doctor wanted to tell him but I felt he used that to push Nick too far away. They had great chemistry, both had feelings for each other since they were young and that was written beautifully into the story. The backs [...]

    17. Nick is an ex-Marine, just out of a relationship and has also lost his job. He is now trying to decide what to do with his life. His sister is getting married, so she has set him and her best friend up to ride together on a cross-country road trip to clear his head.Cameron is Nick's sister's best friend, and long ago Nick spent time with them as well back when Cam was young and had cancer. Now Cam is going through a break-up from an abusive man and dealing with some medical issues as well. Nick' [...]

    18. What do you do when you are running from something that is hard to run from? You take a road trip with the person that was your first crush and hope that the trip ends with you both making it there in one piece. That is what happened with both Cameron and Nick. Both men have things that thy are dealing with in their personal live that are affecting them both tremendously and both are closed lipped about it. Both men crushed on the other growing up but after a kiss in their teenage years that led [...]

    19. 4.5 stars rounded up.“He would forget the kiss, and the awkward shit, and focus on making Nick smile more. After all, miracles did happen around Christmas.”The Road to Frosty Hollow is such a sweet story; I couldn’t help but read it with a smile on my face from start to finish. Sure, my heart ached at times for the past demons and present fears both Nick and Cameron deal with, but overall I just luxuriated in the comfort of their getting together and the adventures they had along the way.I [...]

    20. 4.25 / 5 StarsA learning trip where two men discover that they need to see beyong their past mistakes if they want to be happy. They learned of their mistakes, they overcome them and they finally found what they were missing: each other.Nick, ex-military, keeps a tight grip on his life. He isn't sure where it's going to but he has better things to think about, like her sister's wedding. And what better idea than to make a road trip with his childhood crush? it's going to be memorable, that's for [...]

    21. Read for Love Bytes reviews:This is a nice holiday story showing two men on a road trip exploring not only their own feelings and looking at their lives but also each other. The explore how they are feeling towards each other, their expectations and most certain the chemistry that was once there when they were young. Both go into this trip thinking it is nothing more than just that a road trip to Vermont, more specifically the small town of Frosty Hollow, for Kaitlin’s wedding. Kaitlin is Camer [...]

    22. *Copy provided to Bayou Book Junkie by the author/publisher for my reading pleasure in hopes of an unbiased opinion, a review was not a requirement.*The Road to Frosty Hollow is a road trip forcing Nick and Cameron together again after years of separation. The trip was planned by Nick's sister, who is Cameron's best friend. She knows that Cameron has had a crush on Nick all these years and that Nick needs a change in his life. She puts together an itinerary with stops that are supposed to help t [...]

    23. RJ Scott and Meredith Russell make a fine writing team and I really enjoyed this winter story in the run up to Christmas. Even the cover makes me warm and snuggly - but snow does that for me, makes me want to reach for the hot chocolate, a blanket and a book.Nick and Cameron are basically set up by Nick's sister (Cam's BFF) but it's so perfectly done. A brief fumble years ago has affected both of these gents more than they realise. Both felt the other had read nothing more into it and both were [...]

    24. The Road to Frosty Hollow is a sweet, heartwarming, Friends-to-Lovers story starring Nick and Cam. Although, it is actually Nick's sister's best friend, but that's being picky! Many moons ago, Nick and Cam kissed. Cam pushed Nick away for reasons of his own. Nick came to the obvious conclusion, and decided not to push the matter, especially as he was leaving town to join the Marines. Time moved on, and now both Nick and Cam will be spending three weeks driving from Seattle to Frosty Hollow for K [...]

    25. When you factor in centuries upon centuries of the written word, pretty much every trope is a bit cliche, but that doesn't mean every book reads like a cliche. Well, that's what you have with The Road to Frosty Hollow, past crushes on a road trip together going from point A to point B but the journey, like Nick and Cam, is so much more than the typical road trip story. First off, the journey has many stopping points thanks to Nick's sister who happens to be Cam's best friend, it's more of road t [...]
