    1. Having read the two sequels to this novella AND having read a bit of this prequel on a blog, today I found that it was published in e-book form. So I determined that I must read it.We learn the horror of a young teen traveling with his father near the Black Forest in Germany and while leaning on a tree emptying his stomach due to a bad meal is bitten by a wolf. His father's denials of the seriousness of the bite do not make it different. He consults and finds help as the condition generated is p [...]

    2. I really liked this book. It's the first that I've read by this author but will not be my last! Its premise is quite interesting as it sets the scene for the next book in the series.I can't wait to find out what happens!!I recommend this book to all who like their Darcy and Elizabeth with a bit more bite!!!! I won this book on the JustJane site My thanks to Mary L.S. and J.J!!!

    3. Bitten takes the Mr. Darcy's Bite story back to the beginning and leads the events from the point of Darcy's bite through to the events of book one. I enjoyed having it all filled in and seeing what Darcy and Lizzy were thinking as events unfolded. And though this is a prequel as far as chronological order, I think it works best if it is read after the first book though it will also work if read first, too. It's a summary-style story so it covers events, but I felt it assumes the reader is alread [...]

    4. This review is from: Mr. Darcy Bites Back (Kindle Edition)I just finished the entire "Mr. Darcy Bites" series. After seeing that Mary Simonesen recently published a prequel in this series, I felt compelled to try it out, as this is the perfect season for a spooky read!My interest was held throughout all three books. In the prequel, we read about the events similar in "Pride and Prejudice," but now we learn how Darcy the Werewolf becomes a werewolf as a young teenager, how his parents struggle an [...]

    5. As a lad Darcy of Pride and Prejudice has been bitten by a werewolf, his story begins here as the main characters converge at Rosings Park. Here at full moon Darcy becomes a werewolf which Elizabeth encounters as she is out looking for the full moon.Look forward to the next installment.

    6. Huge fan of Mary Lydon Simonsen and I read the other 2 books a few years ago and loved them. So I scooped this up imediately and was not disappointed. In this novella it gives you the back story as to what and how it happened and how they dealt with it. Loved this so much that I went back to my kindle and loaded the first book and reread it. What better recomendation can you get than that! So yes I definetely recomend this book

    7. Excellent backstory. Now, onward!A fun, fulfilling backstory/prequel. Everyone makes their appearance and I'm just hoping, going forward, there's not too much repetition in the central piece. This Darcy is smitten and committed to his course and Elizabeth, though still unawares, is equally in love. Don't you just love when they reach that "loving" part without all the angst? Well, except for that little werewolf issue Ah well, there's always something!
