    1. 3.5 Stars I felt hooked to this story. It had a good pace to it, and something was always going on. I was never bored-however, I was a bit put off with the errors that were missed after editing. You could see the red words from the editor in a few places, and there were KD remarks. Those remarks could be found at the end of the book and were notes from the editor to the author to fix. I'm not sure how these were not spotted by the author during her last proof reading before submitting it.Otherwi [...]

    2. I don't like comparing books, or calling them rip -offs, but let's be clear-- this is Twilight if they were werewolves and more assholes in nature, and if Bella was even more pathetic.Small town Iowa is so lame, the only thing kids can do is walk up to an abandoned "haunted" house. Well, okay. not exactly the "reckless" teenage thing you'd expect after reading the synopsis. Werewolf bites girl. There is a mean girl in Katherine's life that hates her for no reason. Said girl develops a reason to c [...]

    3. Bastian had to have been the most handsome man that Katherine had ever met. It really was unfortunate that he was also the most stubborn, controlling, downright infuriating jackass she’d ever known as well. Lycanthropy. Her fierce denial is soundly shattered, however, when she is simultaneously saved and kidnapped by Bastian and his pack. Forced to leave small town Iowa behind and adjust to their way of life in a hidden society, Katherine must also deal with fighting the pull she feels towards [...]

    4. This book was a mess, the writing, the story, the characters, you name it, it was a mess. I have never being so aware and annoyed of the mundane actions of a character or the descriptions used for them. This book refers to the main a character as a brunette or a small brunette no less than 19 times. We get walk through how she washes her hair 3 times and there is another 141 references to hair one way or another.I just couldn't get into the story enough to ignore the obvious hair obsession the au [...]

    5. BittenShe a human who is bitten and her whole life changed as she is introduced to pack and a new way of life in book 1

    6. Rant starting in 321. 52% in and done. What. The. F*%#? This was terrible. Absolutely freaking terrible. The "hero" bites the girl (as the title gives away I suppose). Kidnaps her while allowing her to believe that her parents are dead. Allows others to bully her in front of him. Actually picks her up and throws her on a bed to keep her from leaving. Is condescending and ridiculously rude. Punishes her for trying to return to her family. And finally? HE PEES ON HER TO MARK HIS TERRITORY!!! This [...]

    7. DNFd when the sixteen year old heroine, a brunette as we are reminded on every page, drives two hours into the wilderness in a car to escape someone chasing her from the ruins of her home where her father is bleeding to death instead of driving straight to the police station in her small town to get help after the bad guys take her phone. WTF? tstl stuff that is just lazy writing to create a bad situation for the heroine to wallow around in.

    8. I have no idea how to review this book so let's jump right in with the negatives. - The edition that went to my kindle had editor footnotes. So while reading a footnote would pop up and recommend a different verb or point out redundant word uses. - There were a lot of grammatical errors. Maybe it was updated in a later edition but they were especially noticeable with editorial footnotes pointing them out. - This is a ya book with a 16 year old character. And while it nailed down the angst, stupi [...]

    9. (RabidReads)What if you are a teenage girl who on a sort of dare visits the local haunted house and gets bit by a werewolf? One that tries but fails to carry you off? That’s the premise of this young adult read. It’s also one that I read almost non-stop.Katherine is sixteen and lives in a really small town in Iowa. The only thing to do for fun for teens is to walk by the old supposedly haunted house and try to scare each other. Not a good idea during a full moon. Of course she doesn’t know [...]

    10. Just wowThe only thing that bothered me from this book was while I was reading I caught some errors. A he where there should of been a she. A word whose spelling is close to what the author actually intended to use. Other than all of that, I don't think I have laughed or cried so many times while reading. I absolutely loved his book. I do have to say I wish Katherine wasn't so whiney, but then again she is 16. I would recommend this book to anyone.

    11. Wow, I really enjoyed this book, I thought it was really brilliant. I feel like all the bad things happened at the beginning of the book, and the rest of Bitten was mainly about fixing/dealing with the problems, with a few little issues throughout. Didn't really end on a cliff-hanger but I am definitely going to be reading the next one. Great series!

    12. Interesting YA, thought the story was ok.Feel like with the set up, next one will be better.Narrator Sarah Mollo-Christensen did a fair job with voices.Almost clean mild foul language.

    13. Reviewed by Whitney@Shooting Stars ReviewsBitten begins when Katherine and her friends end up in a place they know they shouldn't be in. But when Katherine decides to go venture further, and finds a strange wolf after things go downhill fast. Mainly, after getting bitten by said wolf, her life starts to change in ways she never imagined. Now, the thought of werewolves, packs, alphas, and more are in her regular norm, but more she's attracted to the man who she can't stand. However, it's not exac [...]

    14. I really liked this book. Couldn't put it down. Reviewing for my children, no swearing or sexual innuendos. definitely a love interest. Nicely no triangle. The characters are believable which is rare among teen/young adult books. Here is the spoiler: Katherine is strong willed and definitely has the personality, loyalty and emotions of an almost 17 year old. The author describes the werewolf culture as the book moves along. Sometimes Katherine seemed dense with how boys/men responded to her and [...]

    15. the story was very well written. not a fan of not first person books. but the story was great. couple of emotional moments hoping there's another book. Katherine parents did not die. and she has no idea. Bastian is now the head alpha lots of questions still left unanswered. why is Katherine not healing like everyone else. pneumonia? ? lots of story left to be shared

    16. GreatAt first I thought it would be like all the others but when I got to reading it, it turned out to be even better than any other paranormal book. I look forward to reading more.

    17. I liked the story. My problem is with the editing, or lack thereof. I had to stop reading numerous times to reread something that made absolutely no sense. That ruined it for me.

    18. 2.5 stars for poor editing and outstanding use of qualifiers and descriptive words in every single sentence. Full review to come.

    19. 3.5 stars. For a YA it was pretty good. Just remember, if anyone dares you to go to a Haunted House ALWAYS say NO! No good can come of it but you can find happiness.

    20. I think I had a love-hate relationship with this book. It made me laugh. It made me cringe (oh so much, and very often). It made me roll my eyes ands still- it hooked me enough to read it all. And the ending did shock me, so there's always that.Issues- I like YA books, but I think the main character was just too young and immature and contradictory. The author had some sort of hang up as referring to the characters as 'the small brunette' 'the blonde' 'the man' which became highly irritating. It [...]

    21. Normally I don't write reviews, but this book was so disappointing for me that it had to be done. I think my biggest bother was the main character. I couldn't even follow her? Every emotion of hers was so strange and un-relatable! For example she only cried once when her parents died and was more concerned with the 'blonde mean girl' at high school. Blonde girl who is making sure no one touches her boyfriend and if someone looks at him weird, she blows up. Stereotypical much? And not only do we [...]

    22. Bastian had to have been the most handsome man that Katherine had ever met. It really was unfortunate that he was also the most stubborn, controlling, downright infuriating jackass she’d ever known as well. Oh, and there was the fact that he was a werewolf – a werewolf who has bitten her. Sixteen-year-old Katherine Mayes had never believed in mythological creatures like werewolves or mermaids – certainly not those sparkly vampires that her friend Abby was obsessed with. Even when she’s b [...]

    23. This was not a terrible read, I rated it three stars because it was not memorable and a bit annoying at times with certain characters. However it was not terribly written. Let's start with Abby she is the girl that doesn't know how beautiful she is and often times lacks common sense. But I do understand that she is like sixteen years old, so she is a teenager and teenagers are still learning their way through life. So I can appreciate that the author wrote for the teen audience with teen charact [...]

    24. Not to bad of a book but Katherine needs to grow a back bone she never stands up for herself she forgives the man who kidnapped her for everything even when he tells her that her family are dead when she gets home her mother runs rough shot over her and she feels bad for getting mad at her even when her mother is trying to have a rape kit preformed on her after she is gone for 7 months and she has told her parents nothing happened her mother is calling the man that supposedly loves and her alpha [...]

    25. The “hero” bites her and causes her to be a werewolf. She’s given no choice. Then she gets kidnaped. And she gets thrown on the bed and has to sleep beside him. She escapes and goes to her sisters house (not a police station). When her sisters neighbors asks if he can help, how about saying she’d the sister and if she can use the phone????? And then she gets yelled at and punished??? I can’t even go on reading this book. If she was strong and defiant and sets a good example for girls o [...]

    26. This was a great shifter story. It didn't have any sex scenes, but quite a bit of angst. The story is told very well and the characters have a lot of depth. It's a little different from the usual shifter romance novels in that there's a community of different packs living in the same area attending the same school. It's got its pack hierarchy and seeing their interactions on a daily basis was interesting. Fun read.

    27. The grammatical errors and odd word usage got in my way. I found myself tilting my head, while listening, trying to figure out why the author would describe her heroine by hair color instead of her name or "she". Pronouns people. Use the right one! The narrator did ok. The pace of production was good.
