    1. First let met just say this book is labeled a mystery novel and this is not something I normally read. I read primarily romance novels. I actually got this ARC by accident, but what a great accident it turned out to be. I have to say, I really liked this book. I loved the characters, storyline, the style of writing and it had a touch of romance! I was completely entertained through the whole book and read it in one sitting! I highly recommend this book and I will definately be checking out more [...]

    2. A special thank you to Open Road Media and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.Much loved storyteller, Eileen Goudgereturns with her exciting high-caliber cozy Cypress Bay Mysteryseries following Bones and Roseswith the second installment, SWIMSUIT BODY. Tish and her cohort of continuing lively characters are great company—an appealing entangled whodunit mystery, along with entertaining and witty snappy dialogue, making for an ideal summer favorite read!Hollywood meets a feis [...]

    3. This book was such a good read! It is filled with mystery, suspense and with a touch of romance thrown in for a great novel. This is a murder mystery and I am usually good at solving the mystery, but not in this book. Oh no, the ending will leave you speechless! I loved Tish Ballard , our main character and amateur sleuth. She is not perfect, but she is fearless. I love flawed characters, don't you? We are all imperfectly perfect in our own way. She is strong and yet has a tender side. She gets [...]

    4. The next installment in the Cypress Bay series, but could easily be read as a standalone book.Tish Ballard is a property manger come accidental sleuth when she finds a dead body at one of her property rentals. She finds herself in all sorts of situations with her brother who seems to be dating a much older lady, the dead woman's assistant who micro-manages everyone, her childhood crush who is also an investigating policeman, plus the hollywood set!! All in all a very entertaining cozy mystery wi [...]

    5. Hollywood Comes to an Oceanside Community Bringing Glamor and MurderTish Ballard, owner of Rest Easy Property Management, is on the inside track when the movie colony invades the town of Cypress Point. One of her clients has rented his house to the female star, Delilah Ward. Tish is primed to dislike Delilah after dealing with a mountain of requests for upscale additions to the rental house and cleaning up after a wild party, but when she meets Delilah, she's taken with her to the point of think [...]

    6. I read Bones and Roses, Book 1 in the Cypress Bay series, last year and it was hands down one of the best books I read in 2015. So, when book 2 showed up on Netgalley, I couldn't hit the request button fast enough. I'm happy to say, the second book didn't disappoint, and this will probably be one of the best books I read in 2016! The main character, Tish, is a property manager and a recovering alcoholic who has been sober for several years. In Swimsuit Body, a movie star rents out one of the pro [...]

    7. I had not read the earlier book in this series, but I have read and enjoyed other books by this author. This Book did not disappoint. Tish, a recovering alcoholic and property manager, rents a property to a movie star who turns up dead at the place a few days later. Tish becomes involved in investigating the murder because her brother is fingered as one of the likely perpetrators, plus she, too, is not off the hook. The story was a fascinating one, with a myriad of twists and turns, as Tish move [...]

    8. Tish Ballard, a property manager for vacation rentals, finds herself plopped in the middle of a murder investigation yet again. Flawed and relatable, she struggles with relationships, alcoholism, and trying to stay alive while a killer wants her silenced. While this is the second book in the Cypress Bay series, it stands alone without too much difficulty learning the characters. The book is a quick read and reminds me of many other whodunit series where the heroine finds a body, gets sucked in t [...]

    9. Our engaging protagonist has an unusual occupation. She manages upscale vacation rentals. When Hollywood people arrive, her life becomes even more exciting. Familiar characters from the first book in this series, plus new ones who may continue on into the next book make the tale even more interesting. Not all is as it seems, which keeps one guessing. I look forward to reading the next one. I typically read cozy mysteries, which this is not, as it has the occasional foul word, and a tad more desc [...]

    10. I received a free ARC through Netgalley because I enjoy Goudge’s writing and asked for it. Although this is labeled a mystery, it’s so much more: a travelogue of the northern California coast, a tongue-in-cheek satire on Hollywood, and a wonderful insight into friends, small towns, and alcoholism. The solution to the mystery is in her well-drawn characters more than forensic evidence, a fact I appreciate. And while the heroine is a little too bold at times, she’s always smart, and she does [...]

    11. I received this book in a giveaway in exchange for an honest review. This is the second Cypress Bay mystery and even better than the first. The secondary characters are getting more fleshed out and the mystery had even more twists. Tish Ballard is a fun heroine and the addition of a love interest to go with the mysteries makes the book even better. I have several otherbooks by this author in my to read pile and will be anxious to read them.I love cozy mysteries and this is sort of a hybrid with [...]

    12. Thank you to Net Galley and Open Road Integrated Media for providing an advance copy of this novel. This is the 2nd in the series, but they stand alone, and I'm definitely buying the 1st now. Tish Ballard owns a property management service, and the "it" celebrity is coming to stay.but not for long. Tish goes to work to find the killer when someone she loves is under suspicion. I loved the characters, and got into this from the beginning. It's a quick, fun readrfect for summer!

    13. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed this book. It is well written and the characters have depth. Ms Goudge provides us with many plausible suspects and some good twists. I had a hard time putting it down after the first few chapters. Can't wait to read other books by her. Tish Ballard not only finds the body but must find out who did commit the murder because she is convinced her brother did not do it.

    14. Great book! Loved the writing style, the character development and while the ending was not off the wall, it was not an obvious ending either. I am definitely looking forward to reading more by this author.

    15. Another fun mystery by Goudge. The twists and turns in Swimsuit Body makes this book a page turner, you want to keep reading to find out who done it. The ending makes you want for more. Can't wait for the next book!

    16. Tish and Spence lock horns again and the who dun nit begins. Eileen Gouge is a master at this. It will keep you guessing until the end. Hoping there is another sooner rather than later

    17. I've read most of Eileen Goudge early books.I'm a big fan. Just got back into her books and was very disappointed in this one. I felt like it was written by a different person.

    18. I like this series a lot but I don't think it is one that Eileen Goudge is committed to releasing on a regular basis. Each book works as a standalone with a satisfying ending, however, I can see where that characters develop in each new book. Swimsuit Body is the second book in the series that is told from Leticia "Tish" Ballard point of view. She is a recovering alcoholic with a property management business in California. She is good at her job but somehow happens across a murder in each book. [...]

    19. I bought this book after I won the first book on Netgalley. The characters sucked me in and story lines were intriguing. I literally read this book in one day. I couldn't put it down because I wanted to find out who killed Delilah and read more about Spence. :) A little spoiler below: Although, I must say, I'm not sure what the point of introducing Bradley Trousdale into the mix in the first book if he wasn't going to be a key player in the second book. Also, it just made her look like a cheater [...]

    20. I found the writing boring. The text was very wordy and used a lot of words to say a little. I felt like this was some kind of assignment where you had to submit a 1000 word essay so you used as many words as possible to describe a single event. In real life, this would be like a well meaning but verbose aunt that you try to get away from as soon as possible with a frozen grin on your face. Enough said.I got this book as a free ARC.

    21. A very attention keeping story of fame and murder with love story undertones. I would definitely read a part two.I won this book on the Good reads giveaways.

    22. good book if you like mysteries with lots of entertaining characters. Would like to read some of her other books.

    23. I haven't read the first in this series, but that did not detract from this story. There were some references to the previous novel, but nothing that spoiled this one.I enjoy the characters and setting. The story was intriguing enough to keep my attention and I liked the patches of humour throughout the tale.

    24. I thought Bones and Roses (book #1) was an OK read and Swimsuit Body gets the same. The mystery is simpler here, but the trade off is that I was getting into the characters more. Again, we have the killer outing themself which I hate and there is a twist which will probably not please many readers (that out of left field thing). The last chapter was an epilogue which surprised me. I guess there will be no book 3 in the series. If so, I appreciated having a bit of a wrap up. While this series wasn [...]

    25. Cypress Bay property manager Tish Ballard was tending to business, doing what property managers do, when she discovers the bloodied corpse of actress Delilah Ward. But who’d want to kill Delilah Ward? Readers of Eileen Goudge’s first Cypress Bay Mystery, Bones and Roses, will know Tish’s backstory and understand her initial instincts to solve Delilah’s murder—but you don’t need to have Bones and Roses on your bookshelf to understand what drives Tish in this stand-alone novel of murde [...]
