    1. Regency Romance, One Perfect Moment, a short story in e-book by Amelia Fernside.Plot: Mary-Anne is the young headstrong daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Berkley. She prefers riding astride horses, rather than as a proper lady and thus dresses accordingly on her early morning rides. On one of these rides her horse is frightened, rears and she is saved by a handsome young man with whom she seems to share an immediate intense ‘feeling’. He brings her home, finds and returns her horse and she [...]

    2. Full disclosure demands I reveal that I was invited by the author to read and review this short story which I obtained through my Kindle Unlimited account. I have received similar requests from authors in the past so I was expecting a full length novel. I was initially disappointed to find it was actually a story only 54 pages in length and was the author's first short story. That disappointment was overcome after reading the first few paragraphs. Amelia Fernside is no stranger to quality writin [...]

    3. This book is short, but it is paced so well for falling in love. Mary Anne is a fiery, passionate lady who has fallen in love with a stranger who saved her five years before. She knows she must move on, but she can't forget his brown eyes and his warm smile. Some people think he was a fantasy of hers, and her parents expect her to marry for the sake of the family. It is a question of following her duties or following her heart. It is a quick read, but a touching, romantic one. I enjoyed all of t [...]

    4. Regency Romance: One Perfect Moment by Amelia Fernside is a short story in the regency romance tradition. Fernside does an admirable job of conveying a convincing, romantic tale in a short story. This is a well-rounded story with plenty of conflict and tension, and is a story that features fairy-tale like protagonists who fall in love against all odds. Lady Mary-Anne is the lead female character and is beginning to mature and wants more from life than just living in a manor. Through her horse ri [...]

    5. One of the Regency Romance series, this novella is light and frothy; it will not be a taxing read. The author apparently fell in love with the U.K. a few years ago and this led her to an enjoyment of the novels of Jane Austen and other British writers, and also to write her own collection of regency romances. Unfortunately, the narration is very American; for instance the heroine lives in “Norfolk County”. This is American terminology; the British do not say "Norfolk County", or indeed anythi [...]

    6. One Perfect Moment: Regency Romance by Amelia Fernside I don't usually read regency books but was asked to check this book out and give my opinion. It was well written and full of intrigue but I just get lost in this type of book because I know so little about this way of life. I loved how this was a clean sweet romance though! Unless the author writes Christian or Historical Western Romance I probably won't be reading any more of her, unless book 2 takes us to American and Lady Mary-Anne Temple [...]

    7. Historical romanceThis is a short story set in Regency times in England. The heroine is a feisty heiress, Lady Mary-Anne Berkeley. Out riding early one morning, she is saved from a potentially fatal fall from her horse by a tall, handsome stranger. Cut to five years later and the heroine has not been able to get this dashing stranger out of her mind. Unfortunately, her parents have plans to marry her off to a suitable local Marquess. Will she ever see her handsome saviour again or must she marry [...]
