    1. I fell in love with Green's medical world after finishing his collection of fascinating, real tasting stories under the title Trauma Room Two. I knew I wanted more of his work, and was happy to see Green had published two short stories, and is on his way to give more full length material in the future. Or at least that is what my hopeful understanding is convincing me to believe. Wow I do love me a good short story and Sutures manages to take that short period of time in between a victim and a doctor and make it so personal, intimate and profound.I'm no stranger to stitches but my reasons for stitches are nothing for reasons as sinister as in the story. I think, the very detailed and close look at stitches was nearly creepy for me. Very vivid and made me quite uncomfortable even though I don't consider myself squeamish.     3. Heartbreaking and amazing.I would recommend this story to anyone interested in emergency medicine or the study of domestic abuse. This story unspools the terrible parts a little at a time. If you see yourself in this patient's story, please seek help. The world is better with you in it.
