    1. Forget just easing into K.N. Lee’s HALF-BLOOD DRAGON, unless the feel of a noose around your neck doesn’t grab your attention! Rowan has been having dreams of prophecy and every time she is about to be hanged…and she knows she must see it through…so what does it mean? What’s coming? Will she be ready or will life bring her a twist she could never imagine? Who is the dark figure who is “coming for her?” and why?In a world of dragons and humans, Rowan just doesn’t fit in. She is bo [...]

    2. Half-Blood Dragon: Book One of the Dragon Born Trilogy (Kindle Edition) by K.N. Lee is a story I adored from page one! I loved the characters and the plot. The suspense was wonderful and non-stop. It kept me intrigued and eager to keep turning the pages. The only thing I didn't like is that it is a cliff hanger. I would have given it a 5 star for sure but this is a pet-peeve for me. I did buy the next book that is on pre-order which I rarely do, so that does say a lot about the book. It is a rel [...]

    3. This was a really short book that ended. I was really enjoying it but then it was over at 74%. The rest of the book was ads for another book. It didn't feel like it ended on a cliffhanger, it just ended with no climax. This may be a good series but I'm too aggravated to continue.

    4. Really loved both book 1 and book 2. Ms Lee has great story telling bones! Brown's tale is fascinated me all the way. Going from being a Lady in Waiting to a condemned murderer on the run keeps you locked into the story.

    5. A thrilling adventure that was full of mystery. It was an interesting start to what sounds like an epic series. There's just so many questions that I'm not quite sure what to think of it or Rowan yet. I look forward to discovering more about this world and characters in the next book.

    6. Talk about staying up and reading this story in one gulp !! It's not long, but it's huge on magic, dragons and all other kinds of things that go bump in the night, like humans plotting the downfall of the Dragon Royal family and setting Rowan to take the fall !! Lots of twits in this story and it sets up book two beautifully as you want it, and you'll want it now !! I'm voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.

    7. The coarseness of the noose scratched at her tender skin as it was slipped over Rowen's head. The same experience has been plaguing her dreams this past week. The same nightmare three times in a week meant that the vision will soon be upon her. Her gift for prophetic dreams doesn't always seem like a gift, but if correctly interpreted it gave her the chance to forego the outcomes approaching. Calling on the power and magic in her soul to make out what she needs to see, as long as she looks close [...]

    8. Title: Half-Blood DragonAuthor:K.N. LeeGenre:Young Adult, FantasyFormat:EbookPages:201Rating:5Heat:3Thoughts: Wow, this was so much fun to read! We know as much as Rowen, which isn't much. I love stories like this!! It's so unpredictable which keeps me glued to the pages, hoping for just one more hint as to what's going to happen. Even after reading the last word there are so many questions that I can't wait to get the answers to. There seem to be so many agendas and who knows all the players in [...]

    9. This book got me with dragons. I was expecting epic and sadly, it wasn't. The book felt like it started mid way and then in the middle got to the little bit of back story and maybe, what should have been the beginning. The story is about Rowen, who is a ladies in waiting in the dragon kingdom. Being a half dragon she doesn't have the same abilities as the full fledged dragons in the kingdom. However, she does have the ability to foretell which she keeps a secret. Now, my issue with the way it wa [...]

    10. This is a real interesting read with lots of surprises and more to come. Rowan is half dragon and half human and is not accepted well by the dragon society or even her stepfather. Rowan has plans for herself but they get complicated by others who want to use her. There are many twists to the story that really keep you on your toes. The characters have lots of secrets and motives. You don't get the answers in this book and it will leave you eager to read the next one.I am voluntarily reviewing a [...]

    11. Book ReviewTitle: Half-Blood DragonAuthor: K. N. LeeGenre: YA/FantasyRating: *****Review: The opening chapter to Half-Blood Dragon was great we are introduced to Rowen and Brea who work in Withraen palace. Rowen is different from the people around her in Draconia - the dragon kingdom, unlike her friend Rowen doesn't fit in here because she is a half blood; half dragon, half human meaning she is looked down upon in society, she also can't do things other dragons can like flying but she does have [...]

    12. Truly confusing and very inconsistent, with dead-end conversations. More editing seems needed. In the first chapter, the action gets going as Rowan and her friend attempt to flee the castle. They're blocked on their way out (I'm still not even clear as to why) and instead of finding a different way, they sort of shrug to each other. Oh well. Back to the castle. Like, huh?Later, the mistress chaperone named Macana asks Rowan to come with her into town. Roan wants to know why, but Macana says it's [...]

    13. I really liked reading the book, it was interesting and the races were fun and it really kept my attention BUT, 74% of the way through my copy of the kindle was just like, THATS THE END OF THE BOOK! The other 26% was from another book entirely. I was really upset by that but I still wanted to read the second one. I downloaded it last night and started it but, before I even started reading I noticed that it wasn't even 150 pages. That's right, it's 121 pages. Huge fail from the author, I feel lik [...]

    14. This book reads like a rough draft. The ideas are there, but everything needs to be developed much more! This idea has so much potential, but the lack of details and background andwell, story, are very disappointing. I even enjoyed the writing style, but the story just isn't there. If the author could go back and revise the book, that'd be great. There are many things that are very confusing, like Gavin appears on the scene and appears to be a bumbling idiot, not very brawny or brace, then he's [...]

    15. I'd really give the story 3.5 stars, but that's not an option. I really enjoyed the story, but it felt like accidentally reading book 2 of a series before book 1. There was a lot of back story that trickled in, but nowhere near enough to really relate to the characters on a deeper level. Overall, the idea of a dragon kingdom is awesome, but filled with elitist dragons who barely tolerate anyone different. Rowen was an interesting female lead who has mysteries of her own that the reader unravels [...]

    16. I enjoyed reading this book. I was able to borrow the three book set from amazon with my Prime account, and am sharing my honest opinion here.I found myself a little confused from the start of this story. I felt that the author may have not spent as much time as she needed to fully developing the story and world from the start. Not long after though, when the story mainly focuses on Rowen's POV, things start to clear up quickly. She is accused of doing the unthinkable, and made to suffer for it. [...]

    17. MediocreEmotionally shallow and thin in plot, this book proves uninspiring. The heroine is poorly developed, waffling between having some smarts to falling apart every few pages. It feels like the author couldn't decide who she was, so she's nothing. She also pleads and begs too often, Rutgers in decisions, and apparently is incapable of rescuing herself. Given her world, I would have expected someone canny, quick witted, and intuitive. Instead, despite years of persecution, she is surprised at [...]

    18. I liked this "novel". The plot, world-building and story-line was top notch. The use and docking of a star is because this "book" is actually a serial and not a full length novel and if you combined the "trilogy" together it makes one really great book. I hate serials and when authors sell a serial under the guise of a full length novel, but since I read all three books trough Kindle Unlimited I'm not too angry. The author had great writing and I actually wanted this story to continue after the [...]

    19. So this and the other two books in the series are pretty disappointing because the concept has such potential but is executed poorly and end ups reading like a boring piece from a high school lit project. It would have worked better as a stand alone book instead of a series of short novels which tend to end practically mid-sentence. I understand the idea of creating a cliff hanger to encourage your reader to keep buying into the series, but the way this was done seems sloppy. The story tends to i [...]

    20. I was absolutely shocked by how enthralling this book is. I have been following K.N. Lee for a while and love the beautiful book covers, but for some reason left this book on my tbr pile. Once I finally decided to read this book, I could not put it down. There is so much mystery inside that you can't help but keep reading to find out what happens next. Rowen is a strong character, as is Elian. Reading from their views, much is revealed. I was not prepared for the surprise at the end, and I have [...]

    21. I am in love with Half-Blood Dragon so far. It has such great potential as a series. Yes, it ends in a cliffhanger that leaves you saying OMG I need to find out what happens. This book especially by the end of the book has you on the edge of your seat. It is extremely well written and is full of suspense, mystery, and drama. I loved all the characters and how well they are developed. They seem to leap off the page at you. This is definitely worth reading and you won't be disappointed even if it [...]

    22. Enjoyed the first book even though you don't really know why her step dad hates her so sends her off yo the palace in the first place. I know he's bitter because she's half human but he married her mother despite that so that whole situation pissed me off. And her mother she says how much she & her mother are close and how much they live each other yet they send her on a mission which could end her life. The whole thing just annoyed me. Apart from that it was okay. Rowen annoyed me as she co [...]

    23. A short tale involving dragons, love and murderA story of life at court with the many dangers involved, love is building between the Dragon price and his sister's lady in waiting when he dies, her troubles really begin.Short time later it's done or is it there is a teaser for another book then more pages from the original tale. Some editing need While I enjoyed the book and the excerpt from the other tale. I feel that the author and publisher might want to consider amalgamation of at least two b [...]

    24. Available on Kindle Unlimited. I love the idea of a world of Dragons and other mythical beings, so that was fun. This story is an easy read that takes you to a world of magic. The major issue I have is that just as the story is getting good, it ended. There was no major climax or resolution present - it just continues into the next book.I wish that more was explained - especially the Red Dragon. The Red Dragon is mentioned multiple times but we never really learn what/who the Red Dragon is. Is i [...]

    25. Half-Blood Dragon is fast-paced and full of intrigue. Her mother's people are full-blooded dragons and never fail to remind Rowen that she's a half-blood. With a mysterious prophecy hanging over her head, Rowen does her best to survive the dragons' court. Betrayals, magic, and mysterious strangers bring everything to a head to leave Rowen running for her life in a cliff hanger of an ending that leaves your hands itching for the next book. A highly enjoyable read full of interesting characters. M [...]

    26. I was ready for a adventure into fantasy to take me away. This author provided that with the beginning of this trilogy. Loving dragons also is a plus from this author with Rowan taking me away. She takes my hand with quite the adventure starting with murder and mystery. And all the elements that await us in this one with the characters. The visions will wisp around us also getting us to think also. The name of the game I derived though is staying alive. By the time you reach the end of this one [...]

    27. Needs editingDecent story with semi original elements, but the cut off sentences, missing words and misspellings were distracting. Also, the plot went tied together very well, and while you were able to follow the story, it felt like you were missing something and thena sudden ending (almost like it was cut off). Lastly, I personally hate it when the last 15-20% of the book ISN'T THE BOOK! It was all samples and ads for the authors other books. It left me feeling cheated.

    28. Wow!This book has a very original plot and a lot of twists and turns in it. It’s a lovely surprise! The Rowan character is herself full of plans and intrigue, but is experiencing some growing pains all the while. In the meantime, she is navigating court as a lady in waiting, forced to protect herself and trust no one. Interwoven into Rowan’s story is Elian’s and Rickard’s - both men single minded and not a little self-centered. Is one of them a good man? Are both of them? You’ll have t [...]

    29. This book I can't even I mean I read a lot of silly books that make the time pass faster, but this one I actually felt myself rushing through just to finish it because it MADE NO SENSE. I don't know anything about any of the characters, the one 'twist' was kind of obvious, and even the sentences weren't properly put together. Kind of like this review. Anyhu, I really disliked it and I decided not to continue the series. Poor writing never appeals to me.

    30. 3.5 stars. Half-Blood Dragon is the first book in the Dragon Born series. This is a not a standalone and has a cliffhanger ending for the next book in the series. There is violence. The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that all of that info here. There are clues in the storyline that keep you guessing what will be revealed next. It definitely kept me reading. Overall it is an interesting storyline and worth taking the time to read. I look forward to reading [...]
