    1. What if Captain Kirk were a jerk?Starship Samurdram is an interesting read. The crew is sent to use a terraform engine to colonize Saturn’s moon, Titan, but this isn’t a crew that gets along. In fact, there’s a lot of backstabbing going on. The book contains the horror aspects of Alien, with people getting infected and dying, but only a few crewmembers seem interested in saving lives. Commander Moody would rather hunt down Separatists, who want the all-important terraform engine. Shall we [...]

    2. Amazing book!!! Very interesting from start to end. Loved all the characters. It was the first book I read by Saurabh Dashora, he has great imagination with wonderful way of depicting story. I couldn't put this book down. I highly recommend this book to everyone !!! I hope author writes sequel of this book

    3. I’d like to congratulate the author on writing a very strong science fiction thriller about space travel and exploring Titan, with a mystery element, credible engineering, imaginative scenes, all that’s best and worst of humanity and a deft touch of je ne c'est quoi which gives the book its character and makes the reader feel like they’ve survived a journey with the surviving crew. This book would transfer well to other media because it has got proactive characters, inspiration and emotion [...]

    4. Good and badGood first great story, better understory. Some new and thought provoking ideas. Not so good. Poor editing, felt like I was reading text from Yoda. Later on in the story the language was meant to be like that but not in the beginning. Incorrect use of the word not when they meant the opposite. Confusing. Also unfortunately, the writing was poor and disjointed.Aside from that I was still glad I read it and recommend with the reservation that you not have too high expectations.

    5. All I can say to the author is thisis sci fi book was amazing. Great character development, engaging and exciting story. It's sooooo good, that I think if you can get a really good editor to polish it up a bit (only grammatically mind you, and not story wise) you will have a number one hit. Seriously. It's that good. For those who liked the book The Martian by Andy Weir, but a story set in a more dystopian new world order universe, you will like this. I just hope there will be more books to come [...]

    6. Let me start off by saying that I usually don't read much sci-fibut I've watched a lot of sci-fi movies. Initially I found this book to be a mix of Star Trek and Avatar. But as the story unfolded I could see that nothing was further from the truth. This isn't a book for you if you are expecting something light where heroes win the day and fly off into space for the next mission. This is a dark take on the business of space exploration and has elements of horror. CHARACTERS - There are several in [...]

    7. I was very impressed with Saurabh Dashora’s writing style, and was enthralled with Starship Samudram from the very beginning with its clear and comprehensive explanation of the Captain Moody and his starship. This novel starts with the crew of the starship Sanudram beginning to wake up from their hyper-sleep only to find they are behind schedule to Saturn. Everything appears normal, but this miscalculation could have killed them. With fellow starship Goldilocks lying silent and possible rebelli [...]

    8. Very interesting and original story. Exploration of Titan, aliens, space battles, political intrigue, unrest among the crew, a dystopian and paranoid society. All very well done. So why only 3 stars? Because it reads like a book written by someone whose first language is not English, and it really needs a proof-read to sort out all the problems with changing tense, odd phrasing ("he had shunned to use this punishment") and mis-use of certain words ('while' muddled with 'until' and 'unless' - "we [...]

    9. One of the most amazing books I've read in a long time. The premise is quite original even though it starts off like a normal military sci-fi book. But around the 30 to 40% mark, it turns into a rollicking page turner that kept me going on to know the end. And the end didn't disappoint at all. The characters are interesting and there are a many of them. But the ones that stand out are the Commander, Parth and Tsonga (oh the time I spent wondering what Tsonga was up to). But Moody Jr. really stol [...]

    10. Great story! Amazing characters! And that ending was not at all what I expected! It was a really original sci-fi story in a market cluttered with typical space marine adventures and war-time stories. It may be a sci-fi story but runs like a thriller mixed with ample doses of smart horror. Starship Samudram is an imaginative, thrilling, thought-provoking and engaging read. I was left craving for more when it ended. It starts with the crew of the starship coming out of hyper-sleep after a long jou [...]
