    1. There is Darkness in Every Room was one of those books where I just felt generally dissatisfied with what I was reading, but I couldn’t put my finger on why until the very end. The synopsis was fascinating, and the first couple of pages had me all excited. But then, after that, my interest in the book fizzled out. I loved the horror-based scenes, and I admired the author’s imagination as a whole. It definitely hooked me immediately; it just failed to reel me in.The characters in this book ar [...]

    2. The truth is out there…and, for Brian Fatah Steele, it was time to break out his favourite X-Files episodes then get stuck into the writing of ‘There is Darkness in Every Room’. And let me tell you, fans of the show will love this book. Weird aliens, black goo, flesh being flayed from the bodies of young college students, oh my! Things are getting strange, I’m starting to worry. This could be a case for Mulder and Scully!Thankfully, there are no Mulder and Scully types in this novel. Ins [...]

    3. One staple of cosmic horror is the utter insignificance of humanity, both to the universe (or universes) as well as to the entities that were around before the universe was the universe. But what happens when some of these entities decide to have a bit of fun and use us as fruit flies in sadistic and bizarre experiments? Although the story centers around a young woman named Tanner who is haunted by her experiences of being abducted by entities since her childhood, many others in the story also f [...]

    4. Filled with creepy goodness, There is Darkness in Every Room will make you paranoid, afraid to walk alone and wanting to scrub your eyeballs out with your toothbrush. So much to like, so many characters to hate, and galactic gross-out horror galore. This was my first Brian Fatah Steele book, it won't be my last.

    5. A five star cosmic mindtrip! It made me feel like I was living inside a Blue Oyster Cult song! Killer science fiction story. Deep, dark and just enough blood to keep horror fans happy. Tremendous writing as well. Go read it!
