    1. If you like fast paced action adventure and secret agents in WW II this book is for you. Charbonneau has set this episode of her "Code Talker Chronicles" in the Basque region of north eastern neutral Spain. The lead character, Luke, is a Navajo "code talker" used by the US Army in both world wars. It has always been a fascinating bit of history to me that the US used Native Americans to speak their native languages in secret radio communications that completely frustrated the German code breaker [...]

    2. The amazing thing about Charbonneau's writing is that she transports you into a world so completely that you forget that you were not born to that world, coming to believe that you live in that time and place. I also love that the reader can trust her historical accuracy; her eye for period detail is always photographic. This novel's sexy beginning draws the reader in, but the heart of the novel is the very spiritual Kayenta cousins of the Dine (Navajo) people.

    3. The Many Worlds of Eileen CharbonneauWhat you come to expect in the fiction of Eileen Charbonneau is the meeting of different worlds. In such marvelous novels as Rachel Le Moyne, The Randolph Legacy and Waltzing in Ragtime the meeting of different worlds, cultures and viewpoints often is a collision, sometimes an embrace, and always a revelation of unexpected wonderment, drama, sadness or exultation. Her latest novel, I’ll Be Seeing You, brings many different worlds together in the dramatic con [...]

    4. Loved this book! A fast-paced historical adventure spiced with unexpected romance. I was especially moved by Luke's struggles to understand non-Navaho culture in all the different forms he encountered it throughtout his life: from his childhood in government boarding schools, to his compatriots in the US army, and the Spanish partisans he meets on his first mission. Fine characterizations and lively dialogue consistently engaged my interest and sympathies. Look forward to more of Luke's adventur [...]

    5. This book brought to life a piece of WWII history with which I was previously only slightly familiar. I love the characters. Can't wait for the next in the series!

    6. This novel by talented novelist, Ms Charbonneau swept me back in time to when America joined in the Second World War.Two young Navajo shepherds, Luke Kayenta and Nantai, his clan brother, from the Indian reservation in Arizona, are engaged by the Office of Strategic Services. Their task is to create a code based on the Navajo language. One which will defeat the enemy whose business is to crack codes.Regardless of danger Luke and Nantai pose as shepherds between the mountains of Spain and France, [...]
