    1. The fact that this book is made up of accounts and opinions by over 40 different individuals makes for a very interesting read. You get different views and opinions every chapter and it allows for a full, fantastic picture in your mind.

    2. It was terrific. I really enjoyed how this book was so close to the history. It was almost like reading today's paper or seeing Lincoln on CNN. Outstanding book.

    3. I found this dog-eared old book, dated 1947, in my father-in-law's library after he passed away in 2006. Like many before me, I found myself glued to this book, rereading parts of it many times, and then I read several additional books about Lincoln, whose life defied all expectations.
