    1. I really enjoyed this book, because it sends a good message to children about how harmful bullying can be. In the classroom this could teach the kids how to respect one another and not be rude. As a teacher, I could also do an activity with play-doh after reading this book. The children could make their own taco out of play-doh and then check out their classmates tacos.

    2. Mario and Marissa are playing outside and while using their imagination they gather things from their yard to make tacos. They used leaves, mud, and sticks for their famous mud tacos. Then they started getting hungry for real tacos and asked their grandmother to make some. Unfortunately they did not have all the ingredients so they all wen to the store and picked up their cousins; Chico and Rosie. Chico was not being very nice to Marissa because he was the oldest and would make rude statements t [...]

    3. I checked out Tacos de Lodo from the circulating Spanish collection to use a for mud-themed program for both Spanish and bilingual story times (there is also an English version called Mud Tacos). There is nothing wrong with the story per se, but every now and then I get so caught up with a theme rather than electing a book that would actually work in story time. In this case, I KNEW it might be too long, so I decided, beforehand, that I would summarize some of the pages/clip them back. The older [...]

    4. What a fun story with wonderful illustrations! Children find the mud tacos completely silly and giggle and squirm at the mere idea of eating a mud taco! The book also has a good story of getting along with family (siblings and cousins), and being nice to one another. It's also a breath of fresh air to read a book that is encouraging kids to play outside and use their imagination in a day and age where so many kids have their own computers, video games, etc.Comment

    5. Cute story about young kids getting over bickering and coming together. I think it would be a good concept book for teaching students how to get along. It's also a multicultural book and it'd be good for kids to be exposed to.

    6. I really hate it when celebrities think they should write books but, but this one wasn't bad at all! What kid hasn't made a mud pie, sand cake, etc. I like the illustrations and the book will fit perfectly with our summer reading program!

    7. Very easy to read and colorful children's book written by a brother and sister team. Great colorful illustrations make the book very appealing to read to young children.
