    1. Hmmmm, you can tell that this is one of Eve's early novels, it's lacking in both the humor AND smut department. There's the curvaceous woman and the hunky out-of-her-league supernatural hot guy, but that's about it. I'm so glad Eve decided to add more of the good stuff in her later novels; that's how she's become one of my go-go authors, after all. ☺

    2. I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was a lot of fun. I felt like I had a lot in common with Samantha and really fell in love with her character. I'm going to be looking forward to the next book Breana's story. You can read my full review at romancebookjunkies/

    3. What is hotter than wizard sex, where he can hold you down with magic while BOTH hands are free to explore?! Uh- Nothing. ;)Mrs. Langlais did a fantastic job of painting a beautiful representation of the Realm within my imagination as I read along. Every new thing that Sinclair would introduce Samantha to, I felt like I was becoming acquaint with also. From the friendly green and scaly villagers known as Undines - to Samantha's protective ball of fur, a magic cat called Chance. Absolutely mesmer [...]

    4. I loved this book it's a great book it's a total thriller. Samantha is your average nerd or bookworm she is also a librarian and loves to read books especially romance novels. Sinclair is a wizard who has been sent to a magical island because his evil ex sent him their the island has a boundary so he can't escape for three long years he is stuck there with no hope that is until Samantha walks by a book. store by chance she had never seen it before the store and the shop keeper were in her eyes p [...]

    5. Okay I enjoyed this book, but numerous things pissed me off. First off, how the hell didn't these idiots realized that the sister husband was the bad guy? I mean it was SO obvious. For a wizard, Sinclair was pretty useless at times and it took a muggle i.e Samantha, to help defeat some of the magic. I mean for god sake the man had Demon in his name hint hint and when Chance was growling at him.HELLO. Other than that a great, cute, funny book. If Harry Potter, Beauty & The Beast and The Littl [...]

    6. Really enjoyed this book, Eve Langlais never disappoints for me! I loved Sinclair and Samantha! She made me giggle when she got so excited about being able to help Sinclair by organising the library and researching for him! I also loved the Undines they were so sweet and I loved their life philosophy and cheerfulness!I loved Sinclairs family as well though obviously not his brother-in-law Desmond! I suspected Desmond as the traitor but did not expect his connection to Melisante! I look forward t [...]

    7. Wizard's chance is actually a very nice, sweet story. I enjoyed Samantha and Sinclair interaction, their romance is sweet, action-filled and of course full of magic. I have to say that the Realm was well-developed, and the plot is interesting. But it just did not have the same level of banter and sassiness that her Welcome to HELL, Furry United Coalition, or Freakn' Shifters series has and it just missed some punch (WOW factor) but besides that its a fun fantasy fluff read. And I will check out [...]

    8. The story is nice, all about a librarian who fell into the other world and later falls in love with the wizard. Their first time is hot, but I can't believe that they can do it many times. How can they be oblivious about the traitor in their household? When I first read about him, I definitely pegged him for the villain. The scenes are sweet, but the rest are considered too cheesy for me, anyway it is an entertaining book and will read the other series of it later.

    9. A wonderful enjoyable read that just made me feel good. Two likeable lead characters supported by a few very interesting extras, dashed liberally with magic both good and bad. Add family dynamics and a wonderful pet and you have a very fun read. The ending has me hooked on the next book already.I have owned this version for ages but I see there is a newer updated version of this story. Will get it from the library to see if there is any differences.

    10. A charming storyI really enjoyed the tale of these two most unlikely people to form a relationship. They saw each other past the the surface layer of their societies and really connected. It shows the promise of the talented writer to come.

    11. Clearly a beginners novel but with shining moments that endearI truly enjoyed Wizard's Chance. It was completely original, light, and fun. If not for the sex scenes, I would almost characterize this as YA. I've never read any of Eve Langlais' works and after reading this delightful piece, I would gladly pick up another to see how she has grown as an author. There are definitely some novice moments where the pacing is a little off and words are a somewhat overused but that's to be expected for an [...]

    12. I have been an Eve Langlais fan for quite awhile. At the moment, I am doing my best to read through her massive collection of books. So when I came across a sale on this one (one I had never heard of), I snatched it and book 3 up - no sale on book 2. Turns out, this was Eve's first published book! Wow! What a different reading experience. This book is great, and well thought out, but considerably longer than the ones I am used to reading from her. Sinclair is a wizard, cursed to an island by a f [...]

    13. This story I won in a contest and I have to say it grabs you as soon as you start reading it with a betrayal which will knock you on your backside and drag you down into it and the time will pass as you are reading. Now the lead lady finds a book store, is given a book which teleports her to a island in the middle of the ocean and traps her with a hunky man. (now who wouldn't want to be in her shoes????) Now, this is so well written you feel like you are transported right along with her. The wate [...]

    14. This was like a fairy tale. Wallflower gets transported to a tropical island where she meets this unbelievable hot guy who happens to be a wizard who despite having been betrayed in the past seemed to have no problems falling love again.I can suspend belief to a certain extent and simply say this was a sweet story with all the core ingredients: wallflower, handsome good guy, bad guy (who is actually a girl) and love being the key to breaking the curse.BUTere was no real depth and it just missed [...]

    15. Lengthier than other previous novels by this author, this book nevertheless is much like them. Impossible situations suddenly turn into funny, entertaining and exciting ones with a bunch of interesting characters for whom the readers can't stop cheering for. Sam was shy, sweet, humble and just what an attractive, cursed and betrayed wizard needed in his life. Their romance was sweet, action-filled and of course full of magic. Gotta say though that the identity of the bad guy was kind of obviousu [...]

    16. I am so glad this book was on kindle unlimited, as there is no way I will be able to finish it- and would have been mad had I actually paid for it. The attention to detail to all of the mundane things in the story are so distracting to the actual characters I just can make myself care what is happening while reading this one. Half of this book should have been cut out. At least. Which is sad considering I only made it to the half way point in the book before giving up completely.

    17. A novel about a librarian that gets swept up to an island in which a wizard is imprisoned. How can you go wrong? While the resolution of the book occurred pretty quickly the characters compassion easily smoothed out some of the rough plot points. This is a very happy-go-lucky novel that has enough character to keep it interesting without allowing the readers to get dragged into a dark despair of a novel. For a light, fun romance I certainly recommend this book.

    18. Good story. A wizard is dupped by his girlfriend and she banished him to a remote island. The "higher God" Chance sends a regular human to the island and they figure out why she was sent as they start to fall for each other. It does pick up when they have to go after the ex girlfriend but I just couldn't get into it. Love all her other books.

    19. I largely enjoyed this novel. A few places moved slowly, but it picked up again in the end. Fun and fanciful wish fulfillment in a fluffy romance with wizards.I totally thought it was (or could) go woman's rights in the end, but it didn't. A part of me disliked that, but most of me is glad that it didn't get preachy.

    20. This was one of her earlier novels, and it shows. There was the first half, getting to know the two main characters, getting them thrown together, and then getting together. Then almost all of the action happened in the second half. While that makes sense, due to trapped on an island and all, I thought the first part dragged on a little longer than necessary.

    21. I liked this book. There was a sweetness to the story, and to Samantha, that I found endearing. It was a light, enjoyable read. While it might not be one of this author's best stories, it was still good and well worth reading.

    22. I always enjoy Eve Langlais's books and this one was no exception. A sassy heroine and a brooding hero who manage to find a connection. *thumbs up*-Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

    24. A nice light and fluffy book. If I'm in the mood for a bit of simple escapism I'll pick up the next one in the series.

    25. It wasn't up to the usual standards I've come to expect with Eve Langlais' books. I enjoyed it but definitely not my fav - although the Undines were cute ;)
